According to the work arrangements of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in late September, a joint working group composed of relevant professionals from the province, city and county carried out hook host animal monitoring in Fuxing Town, Rixing Town and other townships in Yilong County, Nanchong City, and the working group was led by Zeng Yixue, a teacher from the Emergency Transmission Institute of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In accordance with the requirements of the "National Leptospirosis Monitoring Program", this monitoring uses peanut rice as bait, lays rat clips near farmland and farms, lays a total of 1886 effective mouse clips, and captures 19 mice, including 1 haddock rat, bigfoot rat and brown rat, 11 short-tailed shrews, 5 small house mice, and collects rat kidneys for leptospirosis culture and testing.
Through monitoring, the species, distribution, density, infection rate and other conditions of hook host animals in Nanchong City are understood, which provides a scientific basis for the early detection of hook body epidemic situation, predicting epidemic trends, and providing a scientific basis for the prevention and control of hook body disease.
