Pang Qing/Tong Jian
Pang Qing, born on December 24, 1979 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is a former pair skater of the Chinese figure skating team.
In March 1999, he participated in the World Figure Skating Championships for the first time, and in November of the same year, he participated in the World Grand Prix Senior Division for the first time.
He finished fourth at the 2006 Winter Olympics, and at the World Championships held in the same year, Pang Qing/Tong Jian won the world championship for the first time.
At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, he teamed up with Tong Jian to win the second place in pair skating.
On March 26, 2015, at the Shanghai World Figure Skating Championships, Pang Qing and Tong Jian won the bronze medal with a total score of 212.77, and completed the final dance of their sports careers with a song "Waiting for You".
Tong Jian (born 15 August 1979 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province) is a Chinese figure skater for pair skaters.
In 1994, Tong Jian began practicing double dance. In 1999, at the 1999 Winter Universiade, Tong Jian won the silver medal in figure skating and pair skating. On November 4, 2005, at the 2005 World Figure Skating Grand Prix in China, Tong Jian won the second place in pair skating free skating with a score of 176.46 points. On February 3, 2007, at the Changchun Asian Winter Games, Tong Jian won the second place in the pair skating short program with a score of 65.65 points.
Pang Qing and Tong Jian were both born in 1979 in Harbin, Heilongjiang.
At the age of 14, they began to engage in figure skating and pair skating, Pang Qing and Tong Jian participated in a total of 16 World Championships, 13 times to achieve the world's top five results, including the 2006 Calgary, Canada and the 2010 World Championships in Turin, Italy. In addition to the World Championships, Pang Qing and Tong Jian also participated in four Winter Olympic Games, and the best result was the runner-up at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, and the champion was Shen Xue Zhao Hongbo and his wife.
Pang Qing and Tong Jian began working together in 1993 and spent 22 years together on the ice rink.
A two-time World Champion in Pairs Skating and runner-up at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, they completed their dream-free figure skating careers on the field.
In 1993, Tong Jian's then speed skating female companion retired due to injury, and Pang Qing's solo skating road also fell into a low point. At this moment, speed skating coach Yao Bin recruited pair skating talents everywhere, Pang Qing and Tong Jian entered his field of vision, and the two began to hold hands from then on, and have not been separated since then.
Together for more than 20 years, the two people remember the most deeply is the "time of war", such as when they just held hands, there was no coach, no one obeyed anyone, and no one could convince anyone.
"After winning the 2006 World Championships, there have been changes, but there are still contradictions, until 2010, after winning the silver medal at the Winter Olympics, we really began to integrate career and feelings, cherish each other's cooperation, and cherish the time left by figure skating." Tong Jian said.
Although they have left the arena, Pang Qing and Tong Jian have never been far away from their beloved figure skating career.
After retiring, they supported each other and devoted most of their time and energy to the promotion and popularization of figure skating projects.
On June 19, 2011, the second performance of "2011 Ice Dance Shanghai - Lang Lang and His Champions Partners" was held in Shanghai, and Tong Jian proposed to Pang Qing on the spot.
At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Pang Qing/Tong Jian won the Olympic silver medal with the classic "Chasing Dreams Without Regrets", and in an interview with CCTV after the game, Tong Jian revealed that he was in a relationship with Pang Qing.
In the same year, he won the World Figure Skating Championships again.
In June 2011, the ice dance celebration was held in Shanghai, Pang Qing/Tong Jian appeared as the finale of the show, after the performance, Tong Jian got down on one knee and proposed to Pang Qing affectionately.
At this point, this relationship of more than ten years has finally come to fruition.
On the morning of June 18, 2016, Pang Qing and Tong Jian announced that they had received a license to marry.
On November 27 of the same year, their son was born.
On July 31, 2019, Tong Jian posted a photo of Pang Qing and Tong Jian's second-born baby on his personal social media, announcing the birth of the second child.
After finishing third at the 2015 Shanghai World Championships, Pang Qing and Tong Jian officially retired.
Then Tong Jian set up Beijing Yixiang Ice and Snow Fashion Culture Co., Ltd., the athlete transformed into the boss, Tong Jian is obviously inexperienced in this regard, he chose a piece of land outside the fifth ring road in Beijing, he was busy with the construction budget, project suspension and future naturalization, this year, Tong Jian's hair was a lot whiter.
Tong Jian's entrepreneurial road is far more difficult than imagined, and after the establishment of the company, there are still many problems that need to be solved by him. Company personnel positions, rules and regulations, course arrangements, recruitment of students and a series of other issues, in Tong Jian's view, entrepreneurship is a farther dream than the world champion of figure skating.
In 2016, their son was born. Due to the large amount of time and energy invested in his career, Tong Jian's operation team needs him to take care of it, and he has also established cooperation with Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School and The Second Wai Affiliated Secondary School, and Tong Jian has very little time to accompany his son.
This year is the 25th anniversary of Pang Qing and Tong Jian holding hands, they have walked through one decade after another, knowing each other and walking together in the wind and rain.
Now Tong Jian founded the Ice Art Center in order to cultivate more teenagers who like figure skating. During the athlete period, they won gold for the glory of the country and showed the audience a beautiful ice dance.
