"Book of Swords and Vengeance" is the first TV series adapted from Jin Yong's martial arts novels and filmed and produced by TVB TVB.
The story takes place in the Qing Dynasty, telling that during the Qianlong period, Yu Wanting, the former chief helmsman of the anti-Qing gang "Red Flower Society", handed over the Red Flower Society to the righteous son Chen Jialuo to take over on his deathbed, and hinted qianlong's lineage to the gang's cronies, hoping to use this as an opportunity to make a pact with Qianlong to oppose the Manchu Restoration.
Just when the Red Flower Society was helping huibu to return victoriously, Qianlong disregarded the marriage contract that Chen Jialuo and Princess Huibu Xiangxiang had already betrothed, and went so far as to blackmail Chen Jialuo with the revival and asked him to persuade Princess Xiangxiang to agree to be Qianlong's concubine.
However, after learning that Qianlong had broken the covenant, Princess Xiangxiang committed suicide, implying that Chen Jialuo was afraid of deception. The crowd was captured at the Lama Temple, and they fought with the Ouchi masters and bravely broke through the siege. In the end, Chen Jialuo knew that there was no hope for revival, and went to Huijiang to live in seclusion with his brothers of the Red Flower Society.
Originally published in 1955 in a supplement to Hong Kong's New Evening News, the Book of Swords and Enmity was serialized for one year, and was later published under the name Shu Jian Jiang Shan. With the help of the legend of "Qianlong"'s life, this book leads to Mr. Jin Yong's various thoughts on the country, the nation, life and love from the mouth of the protagonist Chen Jialuo. The righteousness of the country and the private feelings of children are in stark contrast in this work. At the same time, it also exposes the ugliest side of human nature. Qianlong agreed to form an alliance in order to save his life.
After returning to the palace, in the face of the power of the empress, in order to preserve her own position and magnates, she pretended to exchange the princess for a condition, and finally rebelled and fully demonstrated her interests, and in the face of brotherly feelings, benevolence, righteousness and morality, were not in the eyes.
At that time, the competition between TVB Wireless and Jiayi TV was very fierce, Jiayi produced Hong Kong's first Jin Yong martial arts drama before TVB: "The Legend of the Eagle Shooter", which had a strong response after broadcasting, and the ratings were extremely high, giving Wireless a lot of pressure.
Zhou Liang Shuyi, who was once the assistant general manager of Wireless, mentioned in the interview that Huang Xia, a famous musician who was very familiar with her, had previously assumed the pseudonym "Liu Jie" to compose lyrics for Jiashi's "Legend of the Eagle Shooter", at the earliest, Huang Xia suggested that wireless shoot Jin Yong's novel adaptation, he also matched wireless with Jin Yong, after the secret meeting, Shaw decided to take a step ahead and bought out the film and television adaptation rights of all Mr. Jin Yong's novels. In this drama, Huang Xia also participated in the casting, recommending Yu An'an, who looks like a foreigner, to play Princess Xiangxiang, and Wang Mingquan, who can dance and help shoot action scenes, plays Huo Qingtong.
In the play, the gentle and elegant Chen Jialuo, the scheming And fickle Qianlong, the treacherous and cunning Fu Kang'an, Zheng Shaoqiu alone played the triangle, less than 28 years old Zheng Shaoqiu took on this heavy responsibility, but he lived up to expectations, acting skills are quite outstanding, especially Chen Jialuo, from the inside to the outside, all exude a bookish atmosphere, coupled with high martial arts, courage and strategy, his every move, every word and deed, are accurately pinched by Zheng Shaoqiu, laying a model for the handsome and handsome costumed warrior in the audience's mind.

The heroine Huo Qingtong, the eldest daughter of the Hui chief Mu Zhuolun, commanded the Battle of the Heishui River in the Huibu, with fewer victories and more victories, and defeated the Qing army. Princess Xiangxiang and Chen Jialuo were only 17 years old when they met, and her actor Yu An'an, who was also 17 years old at the time, her appearance resembled that of a foreigner, just in line with all the external conditions of the character, just right to present the innocent, kind and cute appearance of Princess Xiangxiang.
For the name of Princess Xiangxiang, many readers or viewers will mistakenly think that it is a historical Xiangfei, in fact, Kasli is not a Uyghur name, and from the perspective of the novel, we cannot conclude that she is a Uyghur. Later, Mr. Jin Yong deliberately wrote in the afterword of the "Book of Swords and Enmity": "Princess Xiangxiang is not a legendary or historical Concubine, and Princess Xiangxiang is much more beautiful than Princess Xiangfei." It can be seen how flawless Princess Xiangxiang is in Mr. Jin Yong's eyes.
There are also many important characters, all of which are played by the wireless boss Xiaosheng Huadan.
Among them, the famous Hong Kong female artist Huang Shuyi played Li Yuanzhi, the daughter of Li Kexiu, the admiral of Zhejiang Province. Since the establishment of TVB, she has been in and out of TVB four times, which can be said to have an indissoluble relationship with TVB.
Guan Haishan, a famous licorice actor in the wireless, plays Li Yuanzhi's master, Lu Feiqing, a disciple of the Wudang Sect known as "Mianli Needle". As a Cantonese opera student, Uncle Shrimp has been participating in films since 1950, with hundreds of works, and "Book of Swords and Vengeance" is his first TV drama work after joining TVB in 1976.
Uncle Shrimp's son, Guan Cong, plays Wei Chunhua, who is known as the "Nine-Life Golden Leopard". Kwan Satoshi often plays villain roles, and this time should be one of his few decent characters.
Zhao Banshan, the third leader of the Red Flower Society, is played by the famous actor Huang Xin. The four leaders of the Red Flower Society, the actor of "Ben Thunderman" Wen Tailai, is Zhu Jiang, a veteran Hong Kong film actor. People familiar with THE TVB dramas of the 90s must have seen his farewell work "Laughing at the Wind and Clouds" on the wireless, in which he played Guo Jin'an's father Pan Zhong.
Wu Weiguo, nicknamed "Wu Xiaosheng", played the seven bosses of the Red Flower Society in the play, Wu Zhuge Xu Tianhong, and the actress Gao Miaosi played the role of the beautiful Li Kui Zhou Qi. The thirteenth boss of the Red Flower Society, the actor of the "copper-headed crocodile" Jiang Sigen, is Uncle Wu Mengdada. In the 1978 version of "The Tale of the Dragon Slaughtering in the Heavens", Xie Xun, the golden retriever king played by Mr. Shi Jian, was appreciated by Mr. Jin Yong, who personally wrote the inscription "God is as strong as a stone" and gave it to Mr. Shi Jian as a souvenir.
Also starring as the royal bodyguard are the famous Hong Kong actor and model Ren Dahua, and TVB veteran actor Li Guolin. Ren Dahua and Li Guolin are classmates in elementary school, their fathers are policemen, and Li Guolin also applied for the police force, but was stopped by his father. Later, I was admitted to the wireless training class, whether it was a TV series or a movie, the most acted, either the villain or the police. In the dramas of the 70s and 80s, many green leaves later went out of their own world, established their own performance style, and gradually became known to the world, which is inseparable from their efforts and persistence over the years.

With her quick reflexes and outstanding eloquence, she once became the treasure of TVB with Wang Mingquan, Shen Dianxia, Zheng Yuling, Li Siqi, Huang Shuyi and Zhao Yazhi, and was the gold medal emcee of TVB in the 80s.
In order to shoot and produce the 76th edition of "Book of Swords and Enmity", TVB selected a number of well-known young students in the TV station at that time. It is precisely such meticulous preparation, as well as the script that completely follows the original story, that when this version of "Book of Swords and Swords and Enmity" was first broadcast, it swept through hong Kong and Southeast Asia, giving Jiayi a beautiful counterattack, including the theme song and interlude of the entire play, which became a classic of that era.

Just after recording, Zheng Shaoqiu came back, wanted to take the song back to sing, and even sent out fat sister to help, and finally the wireless assistant general manager Zhou Liang Shuyi clapped the board, so that Zheng Shaoqiu and Rowan two versions of the theme song, played separately at the opening credits.
Later, when the series was officially broadcast, it was broadcast in a version of one person every ten episodes. The first broadcast is Zheng Shaoqiu's version, because of the preconceived relationship, when the second ten episodes were broadcast, wireless was immediately complained by the audience, everyone listened to Zheng Shaoqiu's version, and then listened to Rowan's version, they felt that there was no Zheng Shaoqiu singing well, and asked the TV station to change the songs to Zheng Shaoqiu's version.
But the original author Gu Jiahui did not think so, he once mentioned this matter in an interview, feeling that Fat Sister was really nervous about Qiu Guan at that time, and must let Qiu Guan sing. But when Hui Ge was asked who sang well, Hui Ge still supported Rowan, after all, at that time, Qiu Guan was still a newcomer in the music industry. The eponymous album of "Book of Swords and Vengeance", both versions are included. The first song on the A side is Zheng Shaoqiu's version, and the first song on the B side is Rowan's version.
In today's bullet-riddled era, there will never be an audience again, because of who sang a theme song and wrote a letter to the TV station.
