When he arrived in Xiaotangshan, Beijing, Liu Wei was placed in the intensive care unit, and every day he needed to wear 12 layers of gauze masks, airtight one-piece protective clothing, shoe covers, rubber gloves, and plastic eye masks that fit his face around him, so that he could enter the SARS ward. In addition to assisting the doctor in the treatment, feeding, listening to the heart and lungs, intubation... It is All Liu Wei's nursing routine.
"At that time, many of the medical staff who went to Xiaotangshan in Beijing with us wrote suicide notes. Afraid that there will be no return, there is no chance to make a final farewell to the family. Asked about Liu Wei's mood at that time, her eyes were red.
The two months of fighting SARS were a physical battle, but also a psychological war. Patients infected with SARS are emotionally unstable, and Liu Wei should be patient to guide them so that they can put down their burdens and treat them with peace of mind. As a medical worker, she also overcomes great difficulties.

As a retired soldier with 25 years of military experience, "not fighting unprepared battles" is Liu Wei's consistent insistence. Arriving at the West Branch of Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital, Liu Wei immediately carried out his work. Thanks to the experience of Beijing Xiaotangshan in fighting SARS in 2003, as well as four years of quality control experience in Xijing Hospital, Liu Wei sorted out 13 processes for wearing protective clothing and 26 processes for taking off protective clothing overnight, and printed out each process to form a flow guidance form and posted it in the channel; also set up a special quality control post to supervise every detail of everyone wearing and taking off protective clothing, so as to standardize operations and avoid accidents.
Subsequently, 12 nursing staff work responsibilities, more than 10 nursing-related work processes, the rescue system for critically ill patients, the implementation of three-level rounds, and the successive standardization of various emergency plans.
