On the screen, when the picture of 125 soldiers of the "Ice Sculpture Company" lying prone to the trench with guns and still maintaining a fighting posture when they died appeared, a veteran soldier in the screening hall issued a sonorous and powerful shout: "Stand up!" Comrades! Salute to the comrades of the 'Ice Sculpture Company'! The old people sitting on the seats seemed to have returned to the green years of "military orders like mountains" and stood up from their seats.

"Salute!"

……

The screening hall was silent, and what was left for the people around them were tears and endless thoughts.

On the afternoon of this (15th), Ms. Pan Rongfang, a caring person, organized a special screening of the film "Chosin Lake" for veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and more than 40 elderly people who participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea gathered at a movie theater in Shapingba District to watch the movie "Chosin Lake". Pan Rongfang told reporters that more than a decade ago, because the unit had a veteran of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he became acquainted with a group of "the most lovely people."

Since the release of "Chosin Lake" this year, she has always had a wish to organize a special show for veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea to watch the movie "Chosin Lake". Today is their monthly gathering day, so after multi-party contact and coordination, taking into account the old revolutionary's body, venue, distance, transportation and many other factors, they finally chose to watch at Shapingba Hengdian Cinema. "When I saw them salute the 'Ice Sculpture Company', my heart surged with deep emotion and admiration, and it was with their bloody sacrifice that we have today's happy life."

More than 40 veterans who participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea watched the movie "Chosin Lake"

"We really went with the belief that we must die"

The 87-year-old Cheng Ming crossed the Yalu River on March 21, 1951, and participated in the defense of Kaesong.

Cheng Ming said that he was still a small teenager at that time, when the defense of Kaesong was in the middle of a stalemate, and the 34th Division of the 12th Army, to which he belonged, received an order to join the battle immediately. At that time, there was still a certain distance from the battlefield, and the troops had to rush through the night, along the way, the elderly veterans comforted everyone and did not fear, "We really went with the belief that we must die, and no one had any fear of artillery fire." ”

Cheng Ming said that after the defense of Kaesong, the troops entered the river valley for repairs, and when they were repairing, they received news that the Battle of Shangganling had started, and in this way, the 34th Division of the 12th Army he belonged to participated in five battles, and after 43 days of bloody battles in the Battle of Shangganling, Cheng Ming's regiment and another combat regiment originally had a total of more than 3,000 people, and in the end only 71 people were left.

How bitter is the war? Cheng Ming said that "Chosin Lake" is very real, but it may actually be more bitter.

Returning to China from the Korean battlefield, Cheng Ming dreamed for many years that he would return to the battlefield full of artillery fire, and sometimes he would suddenly shout in his sleep: "Be careful!" ”

After watching the film, the veterans saluted their comrades

"I'm most proud of being a volunteer."

The 87-year-old Wu Ruhui said that he was a soldier of the 188th Division of the 63rd Army, and that the conditions in March 1953 were much better than when the 'Ice Sculpture Company' went to Korea, and as an armored soldier, the conditions were much better than those of the infantry, but even so, the battlefield was arduous. Some soldiers were sleepy and wanted to smoke a cigarette, but when there was no smoke, they wrapped them in leaves and smoked them as cigarettes, and it was hard to get an apple that was harder than a stone.

In November 1953, Wu Ruhui and his comrades returned to China, and after withdrawing, the troops went to Yangfang, Beijing, for tank training, and were demobilized to the automobile transportation company in 1958.

The elderly Wu Ruhui told reporters that in this life, the Korean battlefield has had a great impact on himself, "The most memorable thing in this life is the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and what I am most proud of is that I became a volunteer army." ”

In the movie, Mei Sheng, played by Zhu Yawen, said such a sentence: "If we don't fight this battle, it will be our next generation." We are born into death so that they will no longer fight. ”

Wu Ruhui also has a sentence to say: "After winning the difficult war of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, can we really stand up and be looked up to by the world." ”

"If they know about it, they will be very pleased."

In the movie "Chosin Lake", the fierce firefight scene makes many people sigh, those compatriots who died in the battlefield, sprinkled their youth and blood in a foreign country, and also let our descendants enjoy a stable life.

The 89-year-old Tian Changbai is the "big brother" among many veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and he is always happy when he speaks. He told reporters that he joined the army in February 1951, served in the Katyusha Independent 21st Division, entered the Korean battlefield in June, and stayed in Korea for more than two years, until the armistice did not return.

Watching the movie, the old man's face was extremely heavy, and he told reporters that those teenagers who were as old as him died in the Korean battlefield, "If they have knowledge underground, they will be very happy to see China 70 years later." ”
