Recently, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has recently been discussing matters related to the management of prisoners, conducting detailed discussions on issues related to prisoners meeting their relatives, contacting relatives by phone, sending letters, sending money, etc., and soliciting opinions from all walks of life, if it is adopted, it will be formally implemented.

One of the most concerned is that if the prisoner strictly abides by the regulations during the period of serving his sentence, or if he has meritorious performance, he can meet with his husband or wife in a separate room for 24 hours, but he needs to submit a marriage certificate before the meeting, other relatives need to provide a health certificate issued by the local public security organ, and the family needs to sign the relevant regulations in advance.
Eligible female prisoners may meet with their husbands in a separate room for 24 hours, but only with contraceptive use, with an agreement to enter into, and not to become pregnant while serving their sentences.
For female prisoners who have signed an agreement but are still pregnant, certain penalties will be imposed, but the specific penalties are still under discussion.
There are currently two methods for female prisoners who are pregnant, one is to send them home for their families to raise, and the other is to have female prisoners raise themselves in a separate area.
In response to the discussion of the new approach to the management of prisoners, many people said that such a new measure was very humane and focused on the spirit of humanism.
