The COVID-19 pandemic has lifted the fig leaf of Western countries and brought out their ugliest side. According to German media reports, Serbia's most famous TV host Marić said in an interview: he also pursued the American dream when he was young, hoping that Serbia could join the European Union and become part of the West, but now he realized how stupid the idea was at that time, and Chinese was a gift from God.
Marić pointed out that Serbia has always wanted to build a high-speed rail, but the EU is not interested in this and does not provide any help for it. However, the German media is grumpy because of the participation of China and Russia in the construction, saying in the report that the project is not bound by the strict regulations of the European Union, and also suspects that there may be some ulterior motive "power and money transactions" in the project.
