Operation Mekong is a dark horse on the October Film Market.
Adapted from the murder of the Chinese crew member golden triangle.
Knowing that a movie won't satisfy you.
So Uncle Pickpocket found some other movies based on real cases.
Don't worry, take your time —

"Tree Trick"
Based on the criminal experiences of Hong Kong's "Three Thieves" Zhang Ziqiang, Ye Jihuan and Ji Bingxiong in the 1990s.
At the beginning of 1997, Zhuo Ziqiang, Ye Guohuan and Ji Zhengxiong did not know each other, but happened to appear in the same restaurant. Since then, there have been rumors in the rivers and lakes: the three most notorious thieves in the history of Hong Kong crime are plotting to cooperate and do a shocking crime!
"Rescue Mr. Wu"
Adapted from the 2004 "Wu Ruofu Kidnapping Case", Wu Ruofu himself played the policeman who saved himself in the film.
On the night of the Spring Festival holiday, the downtown bar street is bustling and bustling, and Hong Kong movie star Mr. Wu walks out of the bar and is kidnapped by Zhang Hua and his gang posing as a policeman into an isolated suburban courtyard. Mr. Wu accidentally discovers that the kidnappers have also kidnapped another hostage, Xiao Dou, and after some negotiations with Zhang Hua, Mr. Wu pulls Xiao Dou back from the death line.
《Suyuan》
In 2008, Cho Doo-soon brutally inflicted violence on a primary school girl, Suyuan, causing her to be permanently disabled, but was sentenced to only 12 years in prison by the court, which caused strong criticism in South Korean society and led the South Korean government to raise the sentencing standard for child sexual assault crimes.
Mom was devastated and nearly broke down. Dad did his best to protect his daughter, but the injured little angel refused to let Dad come closer.
The Melting Pot
Based on the events that really happened at a school for the deaf and disabled in Gwangju, it depicts a tragedy caused by sexual violence and the school's professors and human rights activists trying to uncover the dark curtain behind it.
The despair of this world lies in the fact that watching so much injustice happen around you every day, no matter how hard you try, you still have no choice. And the hope of this world is that it knows that it is impossible, but there is a group of people who are still insisting.
The Wave
In 1967, the real historical events that occurred at Kebere High School in Palo Alto, California, were intended to allow students to experience the "dictatorship". In today's so-called "democracy, freedom, and equality", it only takes five days to train Nazis!
From the initial playful mentality, to the gradual indulgence of these young men and women in this organization called the "wave", they realize the importance of collectivity and discipline, but unconsciously slide into the abyss of "dictatorship" and "Nazis"...
Budapest Love
It's always hard to resist the sadness of "Gloomy Sunday," which turns out to be about a complex and poignant love story. In a restaurant in Budapest, the capital of Hungary in the 1930s, the beautiful Ilona was loved by two men at the same time. Stories of love, revenge and war are tangled up in Budapest.
"Boys Don't Cry"
In 1993, in a small suburban town in Nebras, The United States, a "gender-blurred" girl was brutally killed by "friends" John and Neeson.
Watching a movie that makes you cry, it's very uncomfortable. But why can't two girls who love each other be together? They really don't hurt anyone.
Chainsaw Horror
Inspired by the true story of serial killer Ed Gein in the 50s.
Adam wakes up to find himself trapped in an abandoned toilet. Opposite him was Lawrence, who had the same fate—they had been chained to their legs and were surprised to find a terrifying dead man straddling them.
"The Doubt of the Changing Son"
In 1928, a man named Gordon Northcott in California tortured and dismembered a large number of boys. The Los Angeles Police Department played a disgraceful role in this incident, and the method of handling the case was not flattering.
A very American film, although not a work that closely follows the theme of the times, must be the heroic dream of the old cowboy Eastwood.
