urgent! Trapped for 40 hours

@ Huang Xintong 30 years old Lanzhou Railway Bureau Lanzhou Passenger Section Guangsi Group Attendant

Henan Province experienced extensive extreme rainfall, resulting in the delay, stranding or suspension of many trains passing through Henan. The K226/7 passenger train from Guangzhou to Lanzhou, shortly after leaving Zhengzhou Railway Station, had to stop temporarily at Tielu Station due to heavy rain, from 17:40 on July 19 to about 21:08 on July 21, a total of 51 hours and 30 minutes. For nearly two days and two nights, more than 800 passengers and more than 40 train staff members were trapped at the iron furnace station.

At 6:30 a.m. on July 20, the heavy rain has been continuing, and after the body was stranded for more than 12 hours, there was a shortage of materials in the car, and all the crew members gave priority to distributing the food in the car to key passengers such as the elderly, children, sick and pregnant after obtaining the consent of the passengers, and patiently did a good job in comforting other passengers.

At 14:30 on the same day, the food in the car was in full emergency. The conductor decided to activate the emergency plan and call emergency flood control rice into porridge to alleviate the needs of passengers. The crew stayed up in batches from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and under the organization of the conductor, they divided the porridge and washed the dishes, and all the staff were busy and busy.

When playing porridge, an old man brought a bag of vegetables and handed it to the captain and said: "This dish was planted by myself, originally it was taken to see my grandson, you children have not eaten for a day, take it to order, supplement nutrition!" "My nose was sour and I couldn't help but cry. At that moment, I felt that all the effort was worth it.

Under the active coordination of all parties, after the passengers were trapped for 40 hours, a large number of rescue materials were finally sent to the train, eight treasure porridge, bread, mineral water, instant noodles, ham sausage... More and more emergency items arrived, and even watermelons were brought. The Iron Furnace Station, Zhengzhou Zhongyuan District Volunteer Association, Jingdong and other institutions, as well as veterans and many other caring people spontaneously donated materials, raised and supplied 10 boxes of instant noodles, 7 tons of mineral water. The conductor braved the rain to organize the crew to pick up the supplies, and the crew owners gave priority to the food to the passengers in the car. It was not until 13:00 on the afternoon of the 21st that the hungry train staff finally ate their first meal after 40 hours of busyness.

"I got the dumplings from Zhengzhou East Railway Station"

@Little Fairy Next Door 27 years old

Zhengzhou is finally out of the sun. For the past 48 hours, I felt like I had a dream, but the flood-washed streets, the news, and the exhaustion of my body reminded me that everything I experienced was real—Zhengzhou was flooded, I was trapped, I was alive.

Water conditions in the road area to the subway station after work

On the morning of July 20th, there was a little water on the way to work, and I rode out of the electric car to feel like driving a boat, but I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. In my heart, I even joked that urban construction should continue to refuel, everyone!

In the afternoon, the leader drove me and my colleagues to a subway station, stopping at a place where the water looked shallow, just enough to open the door. We got out of the car and helped each other through the stagnant water. The subway station looked so close, but we walked for a long time. When a car passed on the way, the "waves" brought up almost knocked our two women who were one meter and seven meters to the ground!

On a rainy day, the road surface is flooded to the thighs, the cars that are flooded and anchored everywhere, we carry backpacks equipped with computers, and we snuggle up with umbrellas and move forward slowly...

We got on the Line 1 subway, and before we could catch our breath, the subway went to the Boxue Road subway station. Here, all the people on the train got off the train and embarked on the road of waiting for rescue.

The subway staff provided plug boards, chairs, tables, straw linen, hot water, medicine, and stayed up late with everyone, providing all kinds of help and services, taking care of our bodies and soothing our emotions. In fact, they are just young people the same age as me.

The trapped masses at the subway station comforted each other

At that time, there were more than 170 stranded passengers in the station, and although there was no suitable environment for rest, the subway staff had done their best to help us. I saw the trapped people, no panic, no panic, no anxiety, no questioning when the subway staff rescue arrived, whether there was any relief materials... Instead, everyone waited quietly.

The ground floor of the subway station was so cold that I didn't sleep all night. I don't know when, next to me came a particularly cute little boy, two or three years old, obediently sitting on a chair. The child was soaking wet, and his mother went around asking for someone to borrow clothes for the child to wear.

The child in the borrowed clothes quietly leaned on the mother's side

The mother said that before getting on the subway, she fell in the water, and she desperately held her son up, but fortunately she was rescued by passers-by. After coming to the subway station, she borrowed clothes everywhere, added people's WeChat, and murmured: It is better to return them to others in the future. At the subway station, she hadn't slept all night and had been taking care of her son, afraid he would catch a cold.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, two big brothers in the subway station decided to walk to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, where there was at least food. The mother made up her mind to take her son with them, and I followed suit. We stumbled all the way to the East Station, where the conditions are much better, caring people deliver food, and I got dumplings! Because I was so sleepy, after eating instant noodles at ten o'clock, I found a place to sleep for half an hour, and when I woke up, I received a call from a colleague and asked me to wait, and they came to pick me up. Yes, going to the East Station is the first step to get out of trouble, and the second step is to have a good job. The definition of a good job is – the leaders who pick you up when floods come and the colleagues who care about you!

The scene when a group of people trekked to Zhengzhou East Railway Station

After this difficulty, there are too many people I need to thank. If this disaster is the West Lake pouring into Zhengzhou, then when the sun shines down, the water surface must be the ordinary and ordinary human nature in the disaster.
