At 2:00 a.m. on March 3, 2015, a burglary occurred in Tangxia Town, Ruian City: the 230,000 yuan dowry used by a couple to get married was stolen.

The victim was sleeping in his bedroom that night, and by the time he noticed the movement, the handbag containing the 230,000 bride price in the room had been stolen. The money is the dowry that the victim will use to get married the next day.

After receiving the police, Ryan police immediately launched an investigation and found that two men on motorcycles appeared near the crime scene in the early morning of the same day. After visiting and investigating, the police identified the identities of two people, Chen Mouxiang (male, 33 years old, from Tongren, Guizhou) and Chen Mouxiong (male, 30 years old, from Tongren, Guizhou). At the same time, the police also found that the two were brothers and left Ryan on the same day.

"They left overnight, and they didn't ask the landlord for the rent they had paid before." The police judged that the two were suspected of committing a major crime.

On March 5, 2015, the police went to the two men's hometown in Guizhou to conduct further investigations, but the two hid in the mountains and forests to evade arrest.

The legal net was restored, and the suspect was finally arrested

From June to July 2021, criminal suspects Chen Mouxiang and Chen Mouxiong were arrested by the police in Hangzhou and Wuhan respectively.

After investigation, Chen Mouxiang and Chen Mouxiong saw the intention of making money and committed theft when they passed by the victim's door on the day of the crime. Afterwards, the two divided the 230,000 yuan of the stolen proceeds and fled back to their hometown overnight.

"I thought that after a long time, the police would not check on us again." Chen Mouxiong confessed that after he stole, he was very scared in his heart, and in order to avoid police arrest, the two fled back to their hometown and hid in the mountains. After a month of hiding, the two did not dare to go home, and had to go to work in other places. For 6 years, the two have not dared to use their real identities, can only do casual work at the construction site, and do not easily go home.

At present, the criminal suspects Chen Mouxiang and Chen Mouxiong have been arrested according to law for suspected theft, and the case is being handled.
