On August 8, 2019, in Hallsands, Devon, England, 53-year-old Michelle Walton and her partner Peter Love, 52, encountered a cat shark trapped by a fishing line while diving in the local area. Luckily, Peter Love carried a diving knife with him and cut the fishing line. The freed cat shark paused to look at its savior, then swam away.
