More than 10 white rhinos have been born since 2009

It is understood that in order to protect rare rhinos, Chimelong Wildlife World began to raise white rhinos in 1997 (formerly Heung Kong Wildlife World), and has more than 20 years of rhino breeding experience so far, accumulating a lot of knowledge about rhino breeding, breeding, health care and treatment. Since Chimelong was born its first white rhino in 2009, more than 10 white rhinos have been born, and almost every year a white rhino is born in Chimelong. In addition, Chimelong Group Qingyuan has established the "Qingyuan Chimelong Animal and Plant Seed Source Base", focusing on the breeding, research and reproduction of rare animals, and has achieved good results.

The youngest white rhino is born on January 5, and February 4 is exactly the full moon. According to Yang Handong, an animal conservation expert with more than 20 years of experience in animal conservation, in order to ensure the birth of the white rhino baby, the veterinarian and conservation team regularly collect blood from the rhino mother every month during the pregnancy of the rhino to monitor its health status, and monitor the number of environmental bacteria every month; the feeding management team will prepare the delivery room half a month before production, thoroughly rinse and disinfect the delivery room, and lay soft mat grass to let the rhino live in the delivery room in advance to adapt to the environment. And arrange a week in advance for the management of 24-hour shifts to observe the changes in the cows through monitoring, until about 1 a.m. on January 3, 2021, the cows began to show signs of imminent labor, until January 5, 3:25 a.m. successfully delivered the calves, the whole production process went smoothly.

At present, the white rhino cubs have joined the group, enjoying the sun and grass on the grass with "Mom and Dad" and "brothers and sisters".

There are nearly 30 white rhinos in total for more than 40 of the three major rhino species

World Rhino Day is celebrated annually on 22 September, launched in 2010 by the WWF South Africa Office, a non-governmental environmental organization, to protect rhinos in all its forms of eco-friendly activities. However, in recent years, due to the impact of ecological changes and human activities, the global rhino population has been decreasing, and at present, there are only about 20,000 rhinos in the world, and it is urgent to protect and breed rhinos.

In 2012, China's Yao Ming made a special trip to kenya to visit the last male white rhino "Sudan" in the African wild, and then filmed a public service advertisement for the protection of rhinos, calling on everyone to "no sale, no killing", and then in 2018, the first case of southern white rhino "sub-generation" bred by China Chimelong Wildlife World made its first public appearance, which provided new hope for the continuation of the white rhino species and also allowed animal protectors from all over the world to see new hope!

Guangzhou Chimelong Wildlife World from 1997 to introduce rhino breeding management to the present, in 24 years, the establishment of Chimelong World rare wild animal and plant species source base, there are currently three major rhino species a total of more than 40, including nearly 30 white rhinos, so far successfully bred more than 10 white rhino babies, the formation of the largest endangered white rhino population in China, for the preservation of species genes has made a major effort, but also for the world's endangered species gene conservation provides an important support.

Chimelong Group's veterinary and conservation team summed up the experience, and constantly improved the rhino breeding, breeding management and other technologies and methods, in the rhino cub period: through medical training, artificial auxiliary milk collection and other means, so that the black rhinoceros cubs who cannot feed to breast milk after birth recover their physical strength through the form of milk supplementation, so as to eat breast milk and get normal development; in other periods of rhinos: expand the range of rhinos, train the crawling ability of male animals, etc., and match sufficient feed, strong medical and technical personnel as a backing, from soft power, Continuous innovation and construction in terms of hard power and other aspects to create a good living environment for rhinos.

Chimelong Group expressed its willingness to continue to strive to create an excellent habitat environment for the world population of wild animals, protect species diversity, and at the same time continuously strengthen the construction of the seed source base group and living resource bank of indigenous species, cooperate sincerely with all walks of life, and strive to improve the scientific research level of animal nutrition and conservation, based on China, facing the world, and making unremitting efforts for the protection and breeding of global animals.
