As we all know, Mr. Jin Yong wrote more than ten martial arts novels during his lifetime. The themes are different, and the personalities are different. In 2018, coinciding with the death of Mr. Jin Yong, I have always wanted to re-make a total collection of Jin Yong's original novels and TV series plot evaluations. And the first one I want to evaluate is my favorite one, "The Dragon Slayer in the Sky".
And from the personality and encounters of several protagonists in the book to analyze: the early fate of many bad, after becoming the leader of the sect, domineering side leakage but often with a benevolent heart, and finally found true love in the love network Zhang Wujie. Zhao Min, who dares to love and hate, has self-confidence, but has to make a choice between family affection and love. Realizing the transformation from the ship's daughter to the head of Emei, Zhou Zhiruo, who is self-motivated, but will stop at nothing to achieve his ambitions. He wanted to serve Zhang Wujie wholeheartedly, but had to choose Xiao Zhao to go to Persia to become the leader of the sect. In the end, "one firmly believes in love" but "does not know that Zhang Lang is Zhang Lang". Most of the main characters in the book have both good and evil sides: Xie Xun, the "Golden Retriever King" who killed innocents indiscriminately in the early stages, but was pampered by the righteous son Zhang Wujie; Yin Tianzheng, the "White-browEd Eagle King" who broke out of the church because of the incident, but returned to the Ming Sect because of his heavy love and righteousness. Yang Xiao, a popular man, but an old and heavy "bright left envoy". Of course, my favorite is the harmony of yin and yang, with the Wudang ancestor of Rou Kegang - Zhang Sanfeng.
Therefore, the evaluation of this book, since the original work came out, that is, different views, Mr. Jin Yong himself once said: "The love story of this book is not very beautiful, the focus of emotion is not the love between men and women, but the love between men and men, the brotherly feelings of the Seven Heroes of Wudang, Zhang Sanfeng's love for Zhang Cuishan and Xie Xun for Zhang Wujie's father and son." "Also because the good, evil, good and evil of the characters in the book cannot be conclusively concluded in a time, the Jin Yong fans I have seen have said that this writing is "human love ukiyo-e", which is quite reasonable to think, and I myself think that this book is full of family, friendship and love, and presents the largest jianghu pattern among the three in the "Shooting Eagle Trilogy", and therefore, this book has become my favorite Jin Yong novel.

Due to the rapid changes in modern media, I think we should eat up the welfare of the post-90s, so whether it is a martial arts novel or a classical masterpiece. Before reading the book, I naturally observed the existing versions of the "Leaning Heaven" film and television, and found that some of them followed the rules and were faithful to the original work; some added their own understanding, but did not destroy the main axis; some spilled dog blood, arbitrarily changed, and even destroyed the human design. So far, "The Tale of the Dragon Slayer" has remade nine versions of related TV series (eight versions of the main drama, one version of the editor), four versions of the movie, they are:

It is also because of fate that I have seen this version of the movie on the website a few times, and some changes have been made to the personality. For example, Mo Shenggu became a little sister named "Shi Jinfeng". Xie Xun was blind with only one eye and so on. The plot begins with the sword and the hundred refinements of Xuanguang, to the centenary birthday feast destroying the liver and intestines. It can be seen from the timeline that it was filmed in a serial version of the plot. Probably due to chronological limitations or other reasons, the script has also changed a lot to the original work. However, the standard of Zhang Ying and Bai Yan's handsome men and beautiful women was also the best choice at that time.
In 1965, the sequel was filmed by Yang Gongliang's team, Lin Jiasheng played Zhang Wuji, Chen Haoyi played Zhao Min, Chen Baozhu played Zhou Zhiruo, Li Hong played Xiao Zhao, and Mei Lan (78 version of Yin Li's mother, Yi Sanniang) played Yin Li. The plot begins with a smile on the green wing, ending with the 100-foot-tall tower Ren Huixiang, due to the different teams, there are many settings that conflict with the original version of 63 years: for example, Mo Shenggu, who has been changed to little master sister, returned as a master and brother in the 65 version. From the plot point of view, the four parts of this version add up, still have not made the original work, so because the plot is incomplete, plus three or four episodes have been lost so far, withdrawing from the next version of the comparison ranks.

2. 1978 TVB version of "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Zheng Shaoqiu as Zhang Wuji, Wang Mingquan as Zhao Min, Zhao Yazhi as Zhou Zhiruo, Zhuang Wenqing as Yin Li, Chen Yulian as Xiao Zhao, episode 25)
This version began to contact from the summer vacation of elementary school, the version I watched at that time was 14 episodes of re-edited version, and I only recently watched 25 episodes of TVB official full version, the plot is slightly flowing, martial arts is still a trick and a style of old-fashioned Cantonese films, so from the current point of view, this version is not particularly strong. However, Zheng Shaoqiu, Wang Mingquan, Zhao Yazhi, Chen Yulian, Shi Jian and others still contributed their own wonderful performances, and this version also has some advantages over the later version, because the popularity of that year ended in tragedy, ending with Zhao Min's trickery jumping into the river, life and death are uncertain, and finally used an open-ended ending. It's a lot of reverie.
3. 1978 Shaw film "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Er Dongsheng as Zhang Wuji, Jing Li as Zhao Min, Yu An'an as Zhou Zhiruo, Zheng Lifang as Xiao Zhao, Wen Xue'er as Yin Li)
This version I only read once when I posted relevant posts on Baidu Tieba, Rowan's song "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" sang a lot of guts, the base book is a serial version, the intensity of the adaptation is not small: the final ending is very bold, Zhao Min finally parted ways with Zhang Wuji, Yang Bu regretted being shot by a dark arrow, Yin Li merged with the yellow-shirted woman, And Chen Youyu and Song Qingshu's image combined. Compared with the original work, this version naturally has a lot of slots, and although the routine of "Hu Han's Road of No Return" at the end is more realistic, it also ignores a problem - Zhang Wujie and Zhao Min have experienced a lot, how can they not have loved?
4. 1984 Taiwan Television "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Liu Dekai as Zhang Wuji, Liu Yupu as Zhao Min, Yu Kexin as Zhou Zhiruo, Tian Li as Xiaozhao, Liu Deshu as Yin Li, 17 episodes)
This version was released when I was in middle school, because Liu Yupu suddenly committed suicide, and the plot is still the original. Several plots that have not been noticed in several versions before and after the shooting, but because of the poor conditions, individual candidates are not good and other reasons, this version can only be at a poor level: for example, Liu Dekai's Zhang Wujie acted very well, but at the age of 31, he is still too mature, so Although Liu Yupu's Zhao Min is more outstanding in several versions, he lacks a sense of CP with Liu Dekai in individual cases. Because the conditions were simple, and the link of the final Battle of Shaomu Mountain was also deleted, the ending was changed to a lot of momentum, Song Qingshu wanted to kill Zhang Wujie, Zhou Zhiruo accidentally met the blade, was killed by Song Qingshu by mistake, Song Qingshu committed suicide in shame, Zhang Wuji and Zhao Min therefore retired to the rivers and lakes, wandering thrush. Moreover, on the historical line, there are Chang Yuchun and Xu Da who have deleted Zhu Yuanzhang, which makes people scratch their heads. However, this version is very good in terms of plot and music, and it is still worth watching. The theme song "Dragon Slaughter in the Heavens" written by Mr. Zhuang Nu is the best theme song in several versions in my opinion.
5. 1986TVB "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Liang Chaowei as Zhang Wuji, Li Meixian as Zhao Min, Deng Cuiwen as Zhou Zhiruo, Shao Meiqi as Xiao Zhao, Chen Anying as Yin Li, 40 episodes)
This version has been seen many times since I was exposed to elementary school. Later, it was found that the subtitles of this version were dubbed according to the Chinese, so that there were many false errors. So in recent years, the subtitles have been corrected. Objectively speaking, the selection of several main characters in this version is very good, and the plot is also relatively faithful to the original context in each version, Zhang Wuji of Liang Chaowei, Zhao Min of Li Meixian, Zhou Zhiruo of Deng Cuiwen, Zhang Sanfeng of Bao Fang, etc. are all excellent versions. If you want to get started, this version is still quite good. However, due to the simple conditions and insufficient hardware, it is a pity that some places are not shooting satisfactorily.
6. 1993 Wang Jing's version of "The Demon Sect Leader of the Dragon Slaughtering Record in Yitian" (Jet Li as Zhang Wuji, Zhang Min as Zhao Min, Li Zi as Zhou Zhiruo, Qiu Shuzhen as Xiao Zhao)
The intensity of this version of the adaptation is naturally not small, and Jet Li's Zhang Wujie weakens the indecisive side. Zhang Min's Zhao Min is also very strong, and Qiu Shuzhen's Xiaozhao combines Yin Li's personality. This film also has several innuendo stems, which are very advanced. However, due to box office and other reasons, only the first half was filmed, so it did not participate in the film and television plot comparison.
7. 1994TVB "The Golden Retriever King" (Yin Yangming as Xie Xun, Li Wanhua as Daisy, Wu Weiguo as Cheng Kun, Mai Tianen as Yang Dingtian, 20 episodes)
In the foreign drama, the protagonist is Xie Xun, this drama makes up some of the blanks in the original work, but the changes are very ridiculous: Han Qianye was deleted, and Xie Xun and Daisy almost became CP. Yang Xiao was hacked into a rogue with an improper heart and a villain, and Fan Yao was also deleted. In the end, the leader of the Ming Sect became Daisy. Naturally, it is impossible to participate in the ranks of film and television version comparison.
8. 1994 Taiwanese tv version of "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Ma Jingtao as Zhang Wuji, Ye Tong as Zhao Min, Zhou Haimei as Zhou Zhiruo, Chen Xiaoxuan as Xiao Zhao, Yang Baowei as Yin Li, 64 episodes)
I have only seen this version twice, I feel that the plot deconstruction amplitude is still relatively large, Sun Xing has also become one of the male gods in the public's mind with Yang Xiao, Ma Jingtao's Zhang Wujie still has some feelings, but from time to time the roaring style is also a bit powerless to spit out, Ye Tong's Zhao Min's late bitter feelings, Zhou Haimei's Zhou Zhiruo's late strength against the sky. However, this version is the best in terms of music, and the explanation of the historical line is also very detailed, but it further blackens Zhu Yuanzhang than the original work, and it has to be said that it is the biggest failure. But there are also a few better places, which will be discussed in detail when it comes to the film and television part.

Childhood memories, as TVB's last Jin Yong drama, the plot is actually average, the theme song is very good, Li Zi also left a deep impression in the public mind with the role of Zhao Min, Wu Qihua's Zhang Wuji, although he is older, he also performed Zhang Wujie's steady and dedicated side. The theme song he sang himself, "Wind and Clouds", is also a classic in the theme song of "Leaning on the Sky", and the addition of individual plays to Ji Min is also very sweet, but this version is not particularly careful in details such as timeline and geographical environment, which has become a big regret.
10. 2003 co-production version of "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Su Youpeng as Zhang Wuji, Jia Jingwen as Zhao Min, Gao Yuanyuan as Zhou Zhiruo, Chen Xiuli as XiaoZhao, Chen Zihan as Yin Li, 40 episodes)
The same version that I have seen many times since I was a child, Su Youpeng played Zhang Wujie's benevolent and generous, and his treatment of feelings is a bit uncertain. Jia Jingwen performed Zhao Min's girlish atmosphere, and in the original scene, her IQ was weakened. Gao Yuanyuan's acting skills are good, but this version is also too whitewashed in Zhou Zhiruo's personality. Fortunately, this version still retains the main plot of the original book, and at the beginning, I wore colored glasses as a fan of Zhang Jizhong to see this version, so I was extremely prejudiced against this version. But I have now jumped out of the filter of Zhang Jizhong's fans and turned to the perspective of God, trying to be fair and just for each version, so the evaluation has improved recently.
11. 2009 Zhang Jizhong's "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Deng Chao as Zhang Wuji, An Yixuan as Zhao Min, Liu Jing as Zhou Zhiruo, He Zhenyan as Xiao Zhao, Zhang Meng as Yin Li, 40 episodes)
This version of the plot is basically the original work, and several protagonists are not badly restored (provided that the out-of-character acting method of Zhang Meng's version of Yin Li is ignored), but the improper use of comic-style techniques, excessive lighting, ugly makeup of actors, and the relevant words of Shaolin and Persia are dragged down by the quality of the actors and the show, which has become an irreparable regret in this version. So when I watch this version, I usually look at the Cantonese version to alleviate the discomfort.
12. 2019 New Edition of "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Zeng Shunxi as Zhang Wuji, Chen Yuqi as Zhao Min, Zhu Xudan as Zhou Zhiruo, Xu Yating as Xiao Zhao, Cao Xiyue as Yin Li, 50 episodes)
This version has been seen once, the early plot is still the original, after the spirit snake island began to change the magic, but the changes are more logical than the previous versions, the four girls are more temperamental. Zeng Shunxi's Zhang Wuji also played better. If it is not a little bit of a pulldown of the changes in the later parts of Zhou Zhiruo, Zhao Min and Zhu Yuanzhang, it is still a better version.
12. 2020 film version of "Yitian Slaughtering Dragon" (Lin Feng as Zhang Wuji, Wen Yongshan as Zhao Min, Qiu Yinong as Zhou Zhiruo)
