The Second Intermediate Court upheld the original judgment

As for the alleged circumstances of voluntary surrender, after investigation, the victim immediately reported to the police after the incident, and the judicial organs already grasped the main facts of Chang Yinsheng's crime. When Chang Yinsheng voluntarily surrendered, he did not truthfully confess the facts of his crime, so it did not constitute voluntary surrender. The Second Intermediate People's Court ruled in the final judgment rejecting Chang Yinsheng's appeal and upholding the original judgment.

At the same time, the reporter learned that after the incident, Wang Mou and Feng Mou of the Beijing Tianxi Calligraphy and Painting Institute were also arrested on suspicion of helping to destroy evidence.
