As early as 1600 years ago, during the Liu song dynasty of the Southern Dynasty, an ancient man wandered a valley, and this ancient person was the then Yongjia County Taishou Xie Lingyun, this valley was the bamboo stream under the jurisdiction of Yongjia County at that time, and wrote the landscape poem "From Jinzhu Stream to Yueling Creek" that has always been recited by people.
With the evolution of history, The Bamboo Stream has long been under the jurisdiction of Yueqing, and now, the Yandang Mountain Scenic Area where it is located and the Nanxi River Scenic Area in Yongjia are listed together in the Yandang Mountain Geopark. More than ten years ago, these two scenic spots opened the Yannan Highway, a straight-line highway, which greatly shortened the distance between the two scenic spots.
On the morning of October 16, 2021 (Saturday), a group of three of us drove from Yongjia County, along the 223 Provincial Highway and then turned to Yannan Highway, it took only more than 70 minutes to reach the Yueqing Bamboo Stream Xianggong Temple, so we started here at 9:00 a.m. and walked around the Bamboo Stream.
JizhuJian is a stream that extends south of Jinxi in the Yandang Dalonghu Scenic Area, about 5 kilometers one way from Xianggongdian to Nengren Temple. Yandang looked at the mountain, Nanxi looked at the water, entered the stream, saw the rare water feature of Yandang Mountain, a spacious and gentle stream reflected in front of the eyes, the water flow was clear, sparkling and shining under the sunlight. The water follows the stream, and the white waves rise on the gentle slope and flow to the cliff to form a suspended waterfall curtain. Along the valley has been built to walk, boardwalk and other hiking facilities, all the way to the road, without crossing the mountain forest and climbing cliffs, you can appreciate the lushness of the mountain forest, the tranquility of the valley, the depth of the waterfall pool, the cleanliness of the shoal, the beauty of the curved bridge, the danger of the cliff...
On that day, the sun was shining brightly, and the dense willow fir forest sometimes creaked and sometimes roared in the autumn wind, and there was no "ape whining sincerity and dawn, valley light not visible" that appeared in Xie's poem. The clouds under the rocks are square, and the flowers are dewy. " situation. However, in the whole process, there are many waterfalls, which are very rare, there are eighteen pools such as the first moon, the gorge gate, the gourd, the jade, the lower pei, the juying, the lianhuan, etc., and there are shallow beaches connecting the pools, and the beach edges are full of bamboo and leaves.
About 3 kilometers up, there is a cliff that plunges straight into the sky, which is another major attraction in addition to the many waterfalls and pools of bamboo streams. The cliffs are like the barriers of an ancient wooden house, shiny and grassless, and even today, if there is no boardwalk, it is extremely difficult for tourists to cross along the stream. Standing on the cliff path, I can only see the water rushing and rushing in the steep rock crevices, and the waves are flying. More than 1600 years ago, Xie Lingyun came here, looking at the stream and sighing, he could only "cross the mountains" and abandon the "creek line", so there was a poem "From The Jinzhu Stream to the Ridge And The Stream".
After crossing the steep boardwalk of the cliff, the terrain becomes flat and the water flows slowly. Not far from the walk, a stone stele erected by the Xie Lingyun Research Association appeared on the side of the ancient road, engraved with the poem "From Jinzhu Stream to Cross the Ridge and Stream", at this time, we secretly rejoiced that this tour became the first time in his life that Xie Lingyun landscape poetry journey.
Not far above the stele, a magnificent and large-scale temple appears in front of you. Looking closer, the stone arch outside the mountain gate is engraved with the words "Nengren Temple", but under the osmanthus tree next to the mountain gate, there is a huge yellow wax stone that is more than half a person high. According to relevant information, Nengren Temple is the largest of the eighteen ancient temples in Yandang Mountain, originally built in the second year of the Northern Song Dynasty (999 AD), originally named Changyun Temple, and renamed Nengren Temple in the seventh year of Zhenghe (1117). After the Southern Song Dynasty, the influence of Nengren Temple in the country became more and more large, and in its heyday, there were 300 monks and 1,000 pilgrims per day, becoming one of the 30 most famous monasteries in the country. There is a large iron wok in the temple, 1.38 meters high, 2.4 meters in diameter, and the weight of the wok is 18500 kg, which was cast in 1092 (the seventh year of the Northern Song Dynasty), so it is also called the Big Wok Temple. Although Nengren Temple has suffered many wars and gradually decayed, the inheritance of the torch of successive generations of high monks and masters has accumulated a rich history and culture for Nengren Temple, and has become an important cultural landscape of Yandang Mountain.
The current Nengren Temple was rebuilt more than 20 years ago, the architectural style imitates the Song style, its architectural group ups and downs, the atmosphere is magnificent, and there are nearly 20 buildings such as the Daxiong Treasure Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Tower, the Bell and Drum Tower, and the Zhumo Master Calligraphy and Painting Museum. Standing inside the courtyard wall of Nengren Temple, you can overlook Guanyin Peak in the distance. There is a waterfall on the north side of Nengren Temple, called "Swallowtail Waterfall", and there are cliff carvings left by several Taizhou celebrities on the side, and the water under the waterfall is clear and lovely.
We followed the ancient path of the mountain behind the Swallowtail Waterfall and returned to the original point after passing through Feiquan Temple, Lantau Island, Eighteen Lang and Xiaomei Pit. The total journey reached more than 14 kilometers, the cumulative climb was more than 500 meters, and it took more than 6 hours. It is now recorded in the seven absolutes (new rhymes, rhymes of the first sentence of the flat opening).
