Construction will begin on April 28, 2010, zhuhai grand theater, China's only opera house on the island, located on the beachfront of Yehu Island, Lovers Road. Zhuhai Grand Theater is composed of two groups of "shells", one large and one small, which constitute the overall image of the opera house, so it is called "Sun Moon Shell".
Zhuhai Grand Theatre is a landmark building in Zhuhai, designed by Professor Chen Keshi, construction began on April 28, 2010, the project has a planned land area of 50,000 square meters, a total construction area of about 50,000 square meters, and an estimated investment of about 1.08 billion yuan. The main structure was capped on December 29, 2013.
On New Year's Day 2017, this long-awaited classic cultural project created and designed by Professor Chen Keshi ushered in the first performance after 8 years of meticulous construction. Zhuhai Grand Theatre was once named Zhuhai Opera House, and the name was finalized before the premiere.
