"National unity and family affinity" is the most affectionate "confession"

On the eve of the National Day, Charlekejon Yiming once again raised the national flag in his courtyard.

Zhou Yunxi, all-media reporter of China Women's Daily

On the eve of National Day, 75-year-old Shalkjiang Yiming, a resident of Hardun Community in Xincheng Subdistrict, Tacheng City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, once again raised a five-star red flag in his courtyard. Under the flag waving in the wind, he said excitedly: "In the 13 years since the first national flag was raised, through adhering to this activity, our various ethnic groups have become more and more united!" ”

In the Xinjiang region, there are many people of all nationalities like Sharakjiang who have taken their own practical actions to safeguard, carry forward, and practice ethnic unity. In particular, in the past year since the Third Central Xinjiang Work Forum was held, good stories of ethnic unity have been frequently circulated, and all ethnic groups have worked together to forge a solid sense of the Chinese national community in production and life, and to strive for a better life together.

Five-star red flag lights up the "bright light" of national unity

In The heart of the Shalq River, a bright red five-star red flag has been flying.

In the 1950s, officers and soldiers of a certain unit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army came to Tacheng and could not find a place to live for a while. After Charlekejiang's parents learned about it, they specially made rooms for the officers and soldiers to make rooms. During the 8 years they lived together, they loved the same family, and it was also at that time that the People's Liberation Army raised the first five-star red flag in the courtyard of the Shalek River family.

Half a century later, on October 1, 2009, Shalekjiang and his family spontaneously erected a flagpole in their courtyard and raised the five-star red flag for the first time to light a "bright light" of national unity for themselves and residents near and far.

Initially, the courtyard only held a flag-raising ceremony on major holidays. Nowadays, every festival and every week, you can see the five-star red flag rising in the courtyard. Under the national flag, he always used the most simple language, the vivid examples around him, and his own personal feelings to preach the party's good policies, and educated and guided the compatriots of all nationalities around him to feel the gratitude of the party, listen to the party, and follow the party.

In the past 13 years, more than 240,000 people have participated in the flag-raising ceremony in the courtyard, which has distributed more than 85,000 national flags to visitors from all over the country and abroad.

Shalke Jiang told the China Women's Daily all-media reporter that the most important purpose of his 13 years of insisting on raising the national flag is to tell the long history and splendid culture of the Chinese nation for more than 5,000 years to the contemporary youth, cultivate their patriotic awareness, legal awareness and moral awareness, let the young people always listen to the party, always follow the party, and bravely undertake the mission of the times in the new era.

As Shalek Jiang wished, the "Family Characteristics Exhibition Hall" transformed into a small courtyard has become a demonstration education base for national unity and progress, a base for patriotic education for women in Xinjiang, and a base for ethnic unity education for young people.

What is even more exciting for Shalekjiang is that on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the party, on June 7 this year, witnessed by neighbors, Charlekejiang joined the party under the national flag of the small courtyard.

"During the epidemic prevention and control period, seeing that our party has always put the people's life safety and physical health first, seeing that the majority of party members, community cadres, medical personnel, PLA soldiers, volunteers, etc. have always charged ahead, giving play to the exemplary and leading role of party members, as an ordinary citizen, I thought that I must join the party at the time of the centenary of the founding of the party." With this determination, Charlech turned in his application to join the party.

Looking at the five-star red flag overhead and touching the party emblem on his chest, Schalke Jiang said affectionately: "It is precisely because of a strong country that we have a happy life today." I want to bless my country, always prosperous, and our people's lives tomorrow will be more beautiful and better. ”

"A dinner table" to solve neighborhood contradictions, disputes, difficult demands

In the Tacheng Hardun community, there are many more models of national unity like The Sharak River. In recent years, the community has continued to play a harmonious song of national unity.

According to Bahar Guli, general secretary of the party branch of The Hardun Community in Xincheng Street, Tacheng City, the Hardun community is a typical urban-rural junction community, and also a typical multi-ethnic residential area, where 14 ethnic groups such as Han, Uyghur and Kazakh live, with 1515 households and 3821 residents in the jurisdiction, and ethnic minorities accounting for 66.69% of the total number of households.

There is also a distinctive feature of the community: there are 466 households composed of more than two ethnic groups, accounting for 30.7% of the total number of households. It is precisely for this reason that the various ethnic groups in the community have integrated and coexisted in many aspects such as language and writing, food culture, customs and habits, forming an embedded community environment in which you have me and I have you.

Bahar Guli said that in order to deepen and strengthen the sense of the Chinese national community among the residents of the community and to root national unity in everyone's hearts, the community regularly carries out activities with the theme of "National Unity, Family, Neighborly harmony and a hundred family banquets."

"Because there are more bungalows in the community, residents like to carry out hundreds of family banquets in their homes. At every event, residents from 14 ethnic groups will put their own ethnic cuisine on the table, everyone tastes food, watches programs, and talks about the truth, and many contradictions and disputes and difficult demands between neighbors are resolved at a dinner table. Bahar Guli said.

It is worth mentioning that among the 20 community cadres in the Hardun community, there are 6 ethnic groups such as Han, Uyghur and Mongolian.

According to the Mongolian community cadre Shanbilik Almia, 90% of the 20 community cadres are women, and the community also has a women's home, in recent years, everyone has actively played their own advantages, through active mediation, household surveys, lectures and other ways to care for the physical and mental health of women and children in the community.

During the interview, when he encountered a question that he did not know, Shanbilik called out to his colleague, Hu Qinglu, a Han girl.

"Since our work, we have never had contradictions due to ethnic differences, and everyone's eating habits, cultural customs and customs are exchanged and learned from each other, and there are new harvests every day." Talking about her work experience, Hu Qinglu smiled and looked at Shanbilik.

Under the reminder of Shanbilik, Hu Qinglu also told reporters a story of his help with the Uyghur old man Wumarjiang Zinong, who was married to a family.

In 2017, Hu Qinglu came to work in the Hardun community and soon formed a deep friendship with the local resident Wumaerjiang. Because the old man's son was busy with work and his daughter settled in Urumqi, Hu Qinglu often cared for and helped the Wumaerjiang couple on weekdays.

When the new crown pneumonia epidemic occurred in 2020, the old man's wife happened to stay in Urumqi, and Wumaerjiang, who was in his 60s, was at home alone and raised 6 sheep, which made Hu Qinglu very worried.

"At that time, I was in charge of logistics, so I drove himself to deliver food to him, and every time I saw the old man come out and take away the food, I was relieved to know that others were fine." Hu Qinglu told reporters that she knew that the old man did not have a mobile phone, and every weekend she would go to tuck her mobile phone into the house to let the old man and his wife and daughter video and reassure the old man's family.

For more than a month, Hu Qinglu has continuously sent three meals a day to the elderly to ensure their safety. "After that, the old man always affectionately called me his Han handmaiden." Hu Qinglu said embarrassedly.

In 2014 and 2019, Hardun Community was awarded the "National Model Collective of National Unity and Progress" by the State Council twice.

"Through in-depth development of colorful forms of cultural and sports activities and literary and artistic activities, we have deepened the work of creating national unity and progress, and the people of all ethnic groups living in the Hardun community are hugging each other like pomegranate seeds, hand in hand and brotherhood, watching out for each other." Bahar Guli said.

"Priority development of education" allows rural cultural construction to have a physical basis

Bakalek Village, north of Wusun Mountain, is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Qile Wuzek Town, Turks County, Ili Prefecture, Xinjiang. There are 2,007 people in 475 households in the village, inhabited by kazakhs, kirghiz, Uyghurs and Han ethnic groups, of which Kazakhs are the main ethnic group, accounting for 99.5%.

According to Ji Changyou, the leader of the Bakalek Village Task Force, in order to smoothly achieve poverty alleviation and comprehensively improve the village living environment, with the central policy funds, the input of local party committees at all levels, and the support of all sectors of society, Bakalek Village has invested 75.347 million yuan successively, realizing that water, electricity, roads and networks have all entered the village and entered the households, and 500 sets of brand-new housing houses have been built.

At the same time, relying on the superior resources of grassland, Bakalek Village is mainly engaged in brown cattle breeding in Xinjiang, which has completely lifted the whole village out of poverty, and the per capita income has increased from less than 5,000 yuan to 13,000 yuan now.

In 2017, Bakalek Village achieved poverty alleviation in the whole village, herders from the past to follow the water, grass and live all to achieve settlement, the past mud road into a flat asphalt road, the sense of gain, happiness and security of the masses has been significantly enhanced, and it has also become a new Internet celebrity punch card for Grassland Tourism in Xinjiang.

"In the past, just saying that the party's policy was good, I couldn't say where the good was, but two days ago, when my relatives came, when they saw the changes in the village, they said to me, they haven't come for two years, and I didn't expect that now your life is better than in the city." Seeing the reporter, Kazakh villager Pattima Sulitan excitedly talked about the changes in his home, speaking as fast as a "cannon".

"My family's current economic resources are farming and local migrant workers, the annual income of farming reaches 15,000 yuan, I work as a cook in the village kindergarten, my husband works as a security guard in the village committee, and the family's annual income can reach more than 46,000 yuan." In addition, she also told reporters, "The state not only helped us build the house, but also issued various subsidies such as basic medical care totaling 159,000 yuan." ”

What is even more satisfactory to the villagers is that the village has built a well-equipped mass cultural activity center, a patriotic education base, and a high-standard kindergarten and a primary school.

"There was no kindergarten here, and many children could not speak the national common language until they were seven or eight years old, and they could not understand or speak." Ji Changyou introduced that since the village got rid of poverty, it has firmly adhered to the work idea of "giving priority to the development of education", and has built a high-standard kindergarten in the village, and children can enjoy high-quality preschool education at their doorstep. Ji Changyou said.

According to the rural revitalization strategy formulated by the Party Central Committee, Ji Changyou said that in the next step, we will continue to adhere to the advanced culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics to lead the masses, and continue to enhance the confidence and determination of the people in the village to work hard and build a homeland through advanced ideas and advanced culture. At the same time, with advanced ideas and culture, we should further promote the mutual exchanges, exchanges, and blending of various nationalities, closely unite all nationalities in the big family of the Chinese nation, and condense the powerful spiritual force of rural revitalization.

In Partima's mind, the new changes in the village and the good life of the people all come from the good policies of the party. Driven by the village party branch, Pattima joined the Communist Party of China, and she firmly believes: "With the help of the party and the government, the life of the people will get better and better." ”
