Enlightenment Tai Chi
Zhang Chun is a business card of Zhumadian, in the past 20 years, Taijiquan enthusiasts in the north and south of the world, through his pioneering "Taijiquan Thread Standardized Positioning Teaching Method" in the history of Chinese martial arts, have traveled thousands of miles to learn the art, only to know that in the south of Henan Province, there is a place where people are brilliant - Zhumadian.
Zhang Chun spent more than ten years to write "Learning Tai Chi as the Name Suggests", which is not a popular reading of Tai Chi teaching in the general sense, and once it came out, it quickly attracted the attention of China's martial arts community, especially in the field of Tai Chi. It completely subverts the traditional method of tai chi that has been followed for hundreds of years by teacher and apprentice, and thus creates a new standardized teaching system.
What is the strength for a martial artist with more than 30 years of tai chi teaching practice to dare to challenge himself, break his habitual thinking, and use 13 years to achieve a "boxing book" with a new meaning? Speaking of his original idea, it actually sprouted from the "tai chi exercises" that elderly tai chi enthusiasts were seriously and persistently comparing paintings in the square. Zhang Chun believes that this kind of "tai chi exercise" with distorted movements, rough fist techniques and incomprehensible points will not only fail to achieve the effect of fitness, but also cause irreversible damage to the knee joint.
It is worth mentioning that before this, Zhang Chun used the principle of mechanics to summarize the three key angles in his upper limb movements in the teaching practice of tai chi, namely: after a move positioning, when the angle between the big arm and the small arm is 135 degrees, the ability to resist external forces is the strongest; when the angle between the big arm and the collarbone is 135 degrees, the arc formed is the fullest, and the effect of resistance and chemical force is the best; when the angle between the big arm and the rib is 45 degrees, the ribs can be protected to the greatest extent.
The traditional Chen's Taijiquan 83 style, when used in complicated and complicated ways, is not conducive to popularization. Zhang Chun envisioned that if a simple and standard routine is created on the basis of applying the "three angles", there is undoubtedly a broad prospect for the popularization and promotion of taijiquan. Therefore, on the basis of inheriting the famous Taijiquan master in China, Zhang Zhijun'en, he created a set of "Sixteen Styles of Chen's Taijiquan".
Standard positioning
Zhang Chun gives people the impression of being simple and generous, and not good at words. However, under this "real person does not show his face" appearance, it implies the great wisdom and understanding that burst out of his obsession with the cause of tai chi.
In promoting his "Sixteen Styles", Zhang Chun found that in his entire routine, 90% of the movement of the hand was in five positions that were particularly conducive to the meridians and the movement of qi and blood. So he named it numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Later, he also found that if the two hands after positioning were connected at the same time according to the principle of "leading the knot", it was a decomposition action of tai chi. If you connect the decomposition movements one by one, it is a standard tai chi style. By analogy, if these five hand positions are fixed in one way and the training is strengthened, the problem of beginners' movements not meeting the standard can be fundamentally solved.
But how easy is it for a beginner who has never been exposed to tai chi to get him to do five hand positions from the beginning? One day, when Zhang Chun corrected the movements of a student, his brain suddenly opened: if there was a special tool to fix the movements of these five hand positions, continue to practice, and rely on the unique memory function of the muscles, he could store those actions that had formed inertia in the brain. He didn't stop and began to design his ideal "motion locator" on the same day. A week later, when he fixed a stainless steel frame with a card slot function on a trainee, constrained his corresponding joints through the card, and made five hand positions within a limited range, he received an immediate effect on the spot. Relying on this simple and practical "learning tai chi artifact", the students' actions are not in place at a glance, and they can correct themselves without the guidance of the teacher, and the efficiency is greatly improved. With the continuous improvement in the application, Zhang Chun's original "Taijiquan Action Locator" has been updated to the third generation and has become a highlight of his "Taijiquan Threaded Standardized Positioning Teaching Method".
In addition, he also made teaching procedures into CD-ROMs. In the practice room, students do not need to teach by example, they can play the standard positioning actions on the TV set by themselves, and practice them step by step.
Continue the inheritance
From the concept of innovative taijiquan teaching ideas in 2000 to the publication of the book "Learning Tai Chi as the Name Suggests - Zhang Chun 123 Taijiquan Threaded Standardized Positioning Quick Entry Teaching Method", it took 13 years.
"Learn Tai Chi as the name suggests" has been published for nearly a decade and has been sought after by the majority of professional and amateur tai chi practitioners. Some well-known Tai Chi masters in China have continuously quoted Zhang Chun's three "angles" in their lectures and teachings, which is undoubtedly a high affirmation of the "angle theory" he founded. The Wushu College of Handan University specially invited Zhang Chun to visit the school, and the two sides reached an agreement to entrust Zhang Chun to upgrade and improve the "standardization" on the basis of the original "twenty-four styles", and transplanted his "standardized positioning teaching method" into the teaching practice of other fist types. A tai chi gym in Los Angeles, usa, learned that there is such a great figure in Zhumadian City in China, who has done such a great thing for the cause of tai chi, and is very admired. They contacted Zhang Chun through various channels and invited him to lecture in the United States for three months. At the beginning of last year, they had a sudden idea to create a "Zhang Chun Standardized Teaching Taijiquan Gym" in Los Angeles, and specially sent people to discuss the matter.
