Ma Zenghui was born in Tianjin in 1936, and his father Ma Liandeng and his sister Ma Zengfen were both Xihe drum performance artists. Ma Liandeng and his second daughter Ma Zengfen co-founded the "Ma Pai" Xihe Dagu. When the Ma family was famous in Beijing and Tianjin, it made a contribution to the folk drum music art to ascend to the Hall of Elegance, and was rumored to be a good story by the music world. Ma Zenghui is the third daughter of Mr. Ma Liandeng, who was 5 years old and sang the Xihe drum, and later changed to singing single strings. At the age of 15 in Tianjin, she was recruiting actors under the China Opera Art Troupe under the China Academy of Opera, the predecessor of the China Broadcasting Arts Rap Troupe, and she was selected to enter Beijing in 1951, where she studied under Hu Baojun, Bai Fengming, Shi Huiru, Liu Hongyuan, Jiang Yuequan and other famous artists.

After entering the China Radio Arts Rap Company, her singing was pure and popular with the audience. He has performed with many famous actors and actresses for Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai and other leaders. In 2012, Ma Zenghui won a variety of awards such as the Lifetime Achievement Award of the China Quyi Peony Award, and she was very effective in her inheritance, and many disciples such as Cui Weili and Liu Xiumei became rising stars in the field of quyi.
