According to foreign news reports, the mother of a Canadian demon killer who brutally killed and dismembered a Chinese student was actually worried that her son would be infected with the new crown and hoped to be released as soon as possible.

Maniota and his mother
The former male model and adult film actor named Galuca Maniota not only deliberately murdered Chinese student Lin Jun, but also dismembered the victim afterwards and mailed part of the body to politicians across Canada, which subsequently triggered an international hunt.
Maniota is currently in charge of port-Cartier prison in Quebec, Canada, where 15 inmates and 15 employees have contracted the virus with no death records and 11 inmates have recovered from the virus.
Maniota's mother, Jurkin, told the media she would like to see her son released from prison sooner because she fears he could be infected with the coronavirus.
News has come that Maniota may also be released after several high-profile felons, including former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, were released due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But in reality, it wasn't until June 4, 2034, that Maniota was eligible for any form of parole, so his mother's wish was not possible.

Luca Rocco Manotta, real name Eric Clinton Newman, born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian male model and adult film actor. His victim was Lin Jun, a 33-year-old Chinese man who the Toronto Star said was from Wuhan, China, a student at Concordia University in Canada who had worked as a cashier at a convenience store before arriving in Canada in July 2011.
Lin Jun lost contact with his family, relatives and friends on May 24. The body remains were found in three locations in Montreal and Ottawa.
On June 1, Montreal police confirmed that Maniotta was wanted for first-degree murder and that he flew to Paris, France, on May 26 before fleeing to Germany.
On May 30, 2012, Montreal police issued a canada-wide arrest warrant, followed by a "Red Notice" for a global manhunt on May 31. On June 4, he was recognized by a clerk at an Internet café in Neukölln, Berlin, arrested by German police, and extradited to Canada two weeks later.
On December 15, 2014, after a 12-week trial, a jury at the Quebec High Court found Maniota guilty of first-degree murder and the judge sentenced Maniota to life in prison. Maniota then appealed, but was dismissed on 18 February 2015.

Last December, Netflix released a documentary called "Don't F-k With Cats" about the evolution of Maniota's crimes, which brought the 37-year-old to the public spotlight for the second time. This series shows how Maniota started filming herself torturing and killing kittens before streaming the video online.
Encouraged by online attention and notoriety, Maniota turned to his victim, Chinese student Lin Jun. In late May 2012, he murdered and dismembered Mr. Lin in an apartment complex in Montreal.
Manota then mailed part of Lynn's body to a variety of politicians, including Conservative Party headquarters and schools in British Columbia.
Throughout the documentary, Yurkin has insisted that her son Maniota is innocent and claims that a man named Manny Lopez manipulated the torture videos behind the scenes, orchestrating Lin's murder.
