"Through DNA comparison, your family should have found it, in Hongqi Village, Baiqiao Town." On July 13, 65-year-old Miao Yongkang returned to his hometown by car. Along the way, he rubbed his hands on his knees, revealing cramps and nervousness, but the long-awaited phone call echoed in his ears from time to time, and he couldn't stop the excitement.

After 63 years, with the help of the police in Ma'anshan and the county in Anhui Province, Miao Yongkang, a citizen of Nanjing, recovered his lost relatives. It is understood that this is also the longest time that has been separated in the country so far, and the successful search for relatives through DNA technology.

"I was born on October 12, 1956, and on December 5, 1958, I was moved out of Anhui Province and County Shengli Society." Miao Yongkang said that when he was a child, he saw that his household registration information was different from that of his "parents" and realized that he might have been adopted. But considering the feelings of the adoptive parents, the desire to find roots has been buried in the bottom of their hearts.

In 2013, after the death of his adoptive mother, Miao Yongkang plucked up the courage to return to Hexian and find Liu Qin, who was the host of the "Seventh Day" column of Hexian TV at the time. During that time, Liu Qin helped many people to recover their lost relatives through television programs. According to the household registration file information provided by Miao Yongkang, Liu Qin took them to the local civil affairs bureau, the local history office, and the relevant townships and towns to ask about it, but because there was too little useful information, they did not get a clear clue. A line that seems to be broken.

In May this year, Liu Qin inadvertently saw a successful search for relatives through DNA technology. She immediately remembered the matter of Miao Yongkang, so she called Gao Youbing, an instructor of the criminal investigation brigade of the Hexian Public Security Bureau. As early as 2013, the criminal investigation brigade had established a DNA laboratory and established a local DNA abduction sample bank in three years. Upon learning of the situation, Gao Youbing immediately agreed to help.

Blood samples, processing, DNA extraction, amplification of loci, profiling... And the criminal investigation brigade of the county public security bureau through a series of procedures, so that things have finally progressed. "We screened out 5 important pieces of information from more than 100 comparison results of the anti-abduction system, and based on these 5 clues, we searched for them." Han Jie, a police officer in the technical office of the criminal investigation brigade of the county public security bureau, said.

On July 13, Liu Qin, Gao Youbing and others took Miao Yongkang, who had arrived from Nanjing, to hongqi village in Baiqiao Town, Hexian County, where the clues pointed out, to inquire, and with the help of the local police station police and community workers, Miao Yongkang finally found his 3 brothers and sisters as he wished, and the family hugged and cried.

"Mother misses you day and night, and we went looking for you many times without finding it." Now, you're finally back! Brother Sun Lichao said excitedly.

Seeing the reunion of Miao Yongkang's family, Gao Youbing and others were also very relieved in their hearts. "This is a case that has been compared internally by the public security system and successfully searched for relatives through DNA technology, and it is also a practical measure for our political and legal system to do practical things for the people." In the future, we will do our best to help more people in similar situations. Gao Youbing said.
