On September 10th, when the Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, the Kwai Chung Hong Kong People Association of Dapeng New District of Shenzhen held a mid-autumn forum, inviting the relevant responsible persons of the United Front Social Construction Bureau and the Kwai Chung Office of the New District to share their hometown feelings with the president, vice president, director and member representatives of the association.

At the meeting, the relevant person in charge of the United Front Social Construction Bureau of the New District sent Mid-Autumn Festival blessings to the Hong Kong compatriots attending the meeting, and fully affirmed the positive role played by the Kwai Chung Hong Kong People's Friendship Association in building a bridge between Kwai Chung and Hong Kong. As a hometown of overseas Chinese in Shenzhen, Dapeng New District has always been very concerned about Hong Kong compatriots living in the new area, supporting the development of Hong Kong people's friendship associations in various offices, and will further smooth the channels of communication in the future, listen to the opinions and suggestions of Hong Kong villagers in a timely manner through forums, networking activities, online groups and other forms, continue to pay attention to the development of Hong Kong compatriots in Dapeng, and provide convenience and support.

It is understood that the Kwai Chung Hong Kong People's Association is the first Shenzhen-Hong Kong people's association in the new district, which aims to build a service platform for Hong Kong compatriots to work and live in Kwai Chung, and promote communication and exchanges between the two places and develop hand in hand. Since its establishment in January 2021, it has gradually grown from 32 to 126 members.
