Qianjiang is a well-known "garment city and tailor's town" in the country. In the 1990s, 100,000 "Qianjiang tailors" went south to work hard, and with the spirit of hard-working and skilled and exquisite skills, they created the golden signboard of "Qianjiang Tailors", one of the top ten labor service brands in China. In recent years, more and more "Qianjiang tailors" have returned to their hometowns to start businesses, and gradually formed a large-scale industrial cluster of 55 enterprises and more than 140 enterprises under the regulations, laying a solid foundation for the development of the Textile and Garment Industry in Qianjiang.

At present, Qianjiang is planning to build a textile and garment industry core park in the southern industry-city integration area in accordance with the concept of "population concentration, industrial agglomeration, functional integration, and element intensification", vigorously promoting the extension of the industry from processing and production to design and development, sales and promotion, focusing on building a vertically integrated industrial ecology, accelerating the formation of an industrial development layout of "one headquarters, one core, three bases", providing a large platform for people from all walks of life who are interested in revitalizing the Qianjiang textile and garment industry, and providing a large platform for entrepreneurship for 100,000 "Qianjiang tailors" Employment at the doorstep of the home provides ample jobs.

On the same day, Qianjiang also held a textile and garment industry economic and trade investment promotion and the city's october project centralized signing activities, a total of 32 projects were signed, with a total investment of 5.31 billion yuan. Qianjiang also released 12 measures to support the development of the local textile and garment industry at the event site.
