On the morning of the 15th, the unveiling ceremony of the "Exhibition of the Life deeds of Zhong Lihe, an outstanding founder of Taiwan's local literature", was held in Songxi Village, Baidu Town, Meixian District.
It is understood that Zhong Lihe was one of the outstanding founders of Taiwan's local literature, who was diligent and tireless in his life, and created many works expressing his deep friendship for the motherland and his hometown before his death, but most of his works had no chance of being published before his death, and it was not until his death that his works became famous in The Taiwan literary circles. In 2012, Taiwan's Lulin Observatory named an asteroid discovered "Zhong Lihe Xing" to commemorate Zhong Lihe and affirm his achievements in the field of Taiwanese literature.
Through the joint efforts of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Municipal Party Committee, the Hakka Museum of China, and the Government of Baidu Town, Meixian District, the "Exhibition of the Life deeds of Zhong Lihe, an outstanding founder of Taiwan's vernacular literature," was officially exhibited in Songxi Village, zhong Lihe's ancestral hometown, mainly including "Zhong Lihe and his ancestral hometown - Songshan Songxi Village, Baidu Town, Meixian District," "Life and Creation of Zhong Lihe's Family and Adolescence," "Zhong Lihe's Life and Creation During his Life and Creation in the Mainland Period," "Zhong Lihe's Life and Creation After His Return to Taiwan," "Commemoration, Publication, and Related Research on Zhong Lihe on Both Sides of the Straits." Contents such as the confirmation of Zhong Li and the place of ancestral origin and the return of future generations to their hometown to worship their ancestors" allow future generations to better inherit and carry forward the spirit of Zhong Li and cherishing the motherland, taking root in the countryside and caring for the people.
It is hoped that the compatriots in Meihe and Taiwan can deeply understand the enthusiasm of Mr. Zhong Lihe in loving the country and the hometown, enhance the sense of identity of the people on both sides of the strait as "the same root and the same origin", and at the same time use the exhibition of Mr. Zhong Lihe's life and deeds as the medium to further promote exchanges and cooperation between Meili and Taiwan to a new level.
