On September 23, the China Industry Summit on Autonomous Driving Networks was held in Beijing, which was jointly organized by CCSA and TM Forum for the first time, and partners from the industry chain and Chinese and foreign experts and scholars gathered in Beijing to jointly seek a plan for the development of the autonomous driving network industry and jointly discuss and promote the development of the autonomous driving network industry.
At the meeting, Liang Bin, deputy director of the Department of Information and Communication Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the development of the autonomous driving network industry requires the joint efforts of industry-wide partners such as "standard-industry-application-technology".
The outline of China's 14th Five-Year Plan, released at the end of 2020, puts forward more, higher and clearer requirements for the information and communication industry. The first is to promote the construction of a new type of infrastructure for "network power", to "accelerate the large-scale deployment of 5G networks, promote and upgrade gigabit optical fiber networks, expand backbone network interconnection nodes, comprehensively promote the commercial deployment of IPv6, and forward-looking layout of 6G network technology reserves"; the second is to accelerate the construction of "Digital China", to "strengthen the innovative application of key digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum communications, and to cultivate and expand emerging digital industries such as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cloud computing, and network security". The third is "green transformation of development mode", to "promote energy efficiency improvement in emerging areas such as 5G and big data centers, and strengthen the energy conservation management of key energy-using units".
2021 is the first year of the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the deepening of the "Network China, Digital China" strategy, and the acceleration of deployment and implementation. The autonomous driving network is the intersection of "network technology and digital technology", which can undertake the implementation of two major strategies at the same time. The integration and coordinated development of network technology and digital technology is expected to become a new driving force for a new round of scientific and technological innovation and industrial change, a new strategic fulcrum to leverage the upgrading and evolution of the communications industry, and a new business card for the autonomous driving network after 5G in China, driving network services to high-quality development of digitalization, intelligence and greening, and empowering national economic development and digital transformation of thousands of industries.
The development of the autonomous driving network industry requires the joint efforts of industry-wide partners such as "standard-industry-application-technology", so Liang Bin put forward three suggestions:
The first is to continue to strengthen the formulation of international and industry standards. Encourage the industry to actively participate in international standardization work such as "business vision and framework, evolution path, and grading system of autonomous driving network"; jointly formulate national standards such as "automatic driving network level assessment and hierarchical domain architecture", and lead the orderly and continuous upgrading and evolution of the autonomous driving network industry with a sound standard system and technical system.
The second is to continue to improve the traction of commercial applications and models. Encourage operators to introduce and experiment with new technologies, new products and new solutions of autonomous driving networks in the production environment of the existing network, and accelerate replication and promotion after maturity; encourage new business models such as joint innovation and joint operation, build "network-service-business" integrated intelligence, and successfully drive the prosperity and development of the industry with commercial value.
The third is to realize the transformation of capabilities and empower the digital economy as soon as possible. Encourage industry-wide partners to work together to transform the upgrading of the communications industry into a driving force for empowering national economic development, into a driving force for the digital transformation of thousands of industries, and into a driving force for inclusive people's livelihood and green energy conservation.
