On October 24, satellite and AIS signals jointly confirmed that the US Navy's "Carl Vinson" aircraft carrier strike group entered the South China Sea through the Strait of Malacca.
This is the ninth time that a U.S. aircraft carrier has entered the South China Sea in 2021. Previously, the aircraft carrier strike group participated in the "Malabar" exercise between the United States, Australia, Japan and India in the eastern Indian Ocean and the "maritime partnership" exercise between the United States, Britain, Japan, Australia and India.
