He was brilliant in nature, and in his early years he participated in the imperial examination, and nine times he could not try his brother, so he had no intention of making a name, so he abandoned Confucianism and threw himself into Xuanmen and devoted himself to cultivation. "Latent Void" is the Dao number of Lu Xixing's later years, so posterity mostly calls it Lu Qianxu.

In his lifetime, Lu Xixing has gone out many times to visit the famous mountains of Xianxiang and visit Gao ren. According to his book, he encountered several strangers on his way to teach the True Technique of Danfa. In the year of Ming Jiajing Ding Wei (1547 AD), Lu Xixing claimed that the Taoist ancestor Lü Dongbin personally descended on the Beihai Caotang where he lived, lived for more than 20 days, and personally taught the Jindan Avenue. He said in the "Jin Dan on the True Chapter: Self-Prologue": "Jiajing Ding Wei, occasionally encountered by karma, met the Fazu Lü Gong in the Grass Hall of the North Sea, died in Qia, gave Xuan Li, and comforted him with a sweet word." The encounter of three lives, a thousand years of hope. Having attained the best of things, he has encouraged me to enter into others. At the same time, Lu Xixing also recorded in detail this experience of Lü Zu personally visiting the Beihai Caotang to teach him the DanFa in his books "Bin Weng Zi Ji" and "Dao Yuan HuiLu".

As the founder of the Eastern Danfa, Lu Xixing wrote a lot in his lifetime, and the surviving works mainly include eight volumes of the Outer History of the FangJu, including a volume of "Xuan Skin Theory", a volume of "Jin Dan on the True Chapter", "Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching Xuan", "Seven Broken Theory", and the annotated "Lü Gong Hundred Character Stele Measurement", "Zhou YiShan Tongqi Measurement", "Ziyang Jindan Four Hundred Characters Measurement", and so on.

In his works such as "Zhou YiShan Tongqi Measurement" and "Small Preface to the True Passages" in the "Outer History of the Fang Ju", he has played a lot of role in the theory of Neidan Dangong, and his theory of expounding the Yin-Yang Dan Method is profound and mysterious. Lu Xixing also understood Zhuangzi with Xuan, and wrote the book "South China True Scriptures and Vice Inks" that became popular in the world. In his later years, Lu Xixing also participated in Zen and devoted himself to the study of Buddhism, and wrote a book explaining the "Lengyan Sutra", which was concise in writing and ink and thorough in reasoning. Some of his exegetical works also include: "Supreme Jade Emperor Heart Seal Sutra Measurement", "Yellow Emperor Yin Rune Sutra Measurement", "Cui Gong into the Medicine Mirror Measurement", "Reference to the Qi Kouyi", "Longmeizi Jindan Seal Poem Measurement", "Qiu Zhenren Qingtian Song Measurement", "Wuzhen Commentary", "Zhuangzi Nanhua Vice Ink", "Restoration Commentary" and so on.

In the Ming Dynasty's "Yangzhou Chronicle", it was recorded that he "had everything to see, skillful literary words, and concurrently worked on calligraphy and painting", after Zhongxiucai, his reputation was very high, and he participated in the provincial examination nine times, but he did not pass the examination, so he abandoned the confucian clothes and changed into a Taoist monk, which was Kaidong Pai Dan Fa, and compiled dozens of kinds of Immortal Classics, especially the "Nanhua Fumo" prevailed in the world. After the feathering, he was buried in Xinghua County, Beiguo Wai, and the inscription 'Tomb of the Lushan People'" was written.

These works of Lu Xixing can be called immortal works in Neidan's theory. The Eastern Dan Method founded by Lu Xixing has a complete Neidan theoretical system, which has a great influence on later generations, and the Neidan Xipai Danfa developed in the later period, as well as Li Xiyue, Tao Suyun, Qiu Zhao'ao, Fu Jinquan and other Dan Dao masters, are mostly influenced by it. For Lu Xixing's writings, the Zhi Dao people commented: "The cave knows the yin and yang, deeply reaches the creation, the secret of the Faqun Sutra, the micro-transmission of the Thousand Saints, the true pulse of the cultivation of Xuan, and the cihang of the world." ”

Lu Xixing Neidan theory is profound and complete, can be called a generation of Dan Dao masters, although the Danfa theory is mostly based on "hypotheses", "dreams" and "fuqi" and other channels, but also belongs to the pioneering self-realization, but in his works there are more theoretical discussions, few practical kung fu records, is a pity.
