His Majesty pardoned me before, and also gave me a knighthood and official position, and now that the world is at peace, I am also willing to be an ordinary citizen of the Great Song Dynasty, hoping to continue to live and repay His Majesty's grace of regeneration. ”
It turned out that when Liu Xun was emperor in the Southern Han Dynasty before, he often poisoned his concubines in the name of giving wine, and now that Song Taizu gave him wine, he was reflexively afraid.
But Song Taizu only gave Liu Xun a cup of fine wine, seeing that Liu Xun was frightened beyond human appearance, Song Taizu laughed, ordered someone to take the cup of wine, drank it himself, and poured another cup to Liu Xun, Liu Xun reacted to this, "Great shame, thank you."
In the eighth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (975), the Song army destroyed the Southern Tang again, and the Song Taizu Longyan Dayue, Jin made Liu Xun the Duke of Pengcheng County, and changed to the general of the Left Guard Guard.

Such a remark made Song Taizong very happy, and naturally "the reward was very generous", and the king of the subjugated country was obviously more liberated than Liu Chan, the lord of the Shu Han Dynasty.
In the fifth year of the Taiping Revival of the Northern Song Dynasty (980), Liu Xun died of illness, and Emperor Taizong of Song posthumously honored him as the King of Nanyue and gave him the title of Taishi, which is considered to have completed a life of ridicule.
