On the occasion of China's high-level commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of legitimate seats in the United Nations, the DPP authorities have continuously distorted Resolution 2758 and challenged the one-China principle. Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, said in a recent interview that there has never been a question of "Taiwan's representation in the United Nations."
Zhang Jun said in a recent interview with the Central Radio and Television Corporation's "Grand View of the Taiwan Strait" that on the issue of China's representation in the United Nations, the first thing that needs to be made clear is that in 1945, when China won the great victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Taiwan was restored and returned to the embrace of the motherland. A series of international law documents, such as the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation, have repeatedly affirmed China's sovereignty over Taiwan. Therefore, whether politically, legally or procedurally, there is only the issue of China's representation, and there has never been a question of the so-called "Taiwan's representation in the United Nations."

Zhang Jun said that Resolution 2758 corrects the 22-year-long historical injustice, restores all rights of the People's Republic of China, and expels the Taiwan authorities from the United Nations. The resolution makes a very clear legal statement on the issue of China's representation, and there is no room for manipulation.
Zhang Jun stressed that Resolution 2758 once again confirms the one-China principle. Under Article 4 of the Charter of the United Nations, only sovereign States may join the United Nations. Taiwan is a province of China and is not eligible to join the United Nations.
"The DPP authorities and the anti-China separatist forces at the international level should have a clear understanding of the situation, stop moving against the tide of history, and use the UN platform to engage in 'Taiwan independence' separatist activities. Zhang Jun said.
China News Service reported that Cui Tiankai, former Chinese ambassador to the United States, also made a statement in Beijing on the 25th. Cui Tiankai pointed out that Resolution 2758 has been clearly stated, and there is only one China in the world. "In fact, the Americans also recognized at that time, why should they 'overturn the case' now, in fact, there is another plan." But this intention will not succeed, and we will not let it succeed. ”
