There is such a character actor in the Hong Kong film industry - don't look at his appearance, he has played many small roles in decades, but he has been a protagonist in his early years, and he can also play the heroic characters as a wonderful portrait, later, he specializes in playing the fierce god evil, and shaping comedy villains is his specialty, plus there is a big mouth as a "symbol", as long as he goes to that station, it cannot be ignored, this actor is Wang Qing, nicknamed "Big Mouth Qing".

Wang Qing, whose original name was Jiang Peiqing, was born in Shanghai in 1949 and later moved to Hong Kong with his family, where he is the younger brother of martial arts actor and police film director Wang Zhong. Because of the loss of his father at an early age, the family was once cut off from food, which also forced him to live by performing acrobatics with his mother and brother at a very young age, and later, by chance, he entered the Shaw Company as a dragon and tiger martial artist, began to learn film skills from Tang Jia, and in the 60s and 70s, he participated in Zhang Che's "Iron Hand Ruthless", "One-Armed Knife King", "Thirteen Taibao", "Revenge", "New One-Armed Knife", "Ma Yongzhen" and other films in front of and behind the scenes.
In 1972, Wang Qing was appreciated by director Zhu Mu after filming "Fang Shiyu", and the following year, the latter held Wang Qing to an important position with the movie "Beipai Kung Fu" (also known as "Dingtian Lidi"), although the "leading actor" on the poster of this film is written about Jackie Chan, but in fact, Wang Qing's role in the film is comparable to Jackie Chan's, belonging to the "double male protagonist" setting.
However, because the appearance is not "pleasing", so this film did not make Wang Qing a hit, until 1976 he was photographed by TVB and invited to star in the TV series "The Legend of modern heroes", and it was really famous. The drama has a total of 12 units, and the "Big Knife King V" part starring Wang Qing was broadcast as the first episode, which received a great response, and Wang Qing also entered the ranks of well-known actors.
Since then, Wang Qing has made every effort to develop in the film circle, and has performed nearly 70 films between 1976 and 1993, although he rarely played the main role during the period, but through cooperation with many well-known filmmakers, it does not prevent him from being firmly remembered by the audience, such as the "Mountain Dog" and "Murder List" directed by the new wave general Yu Yunkang, the new art city film "Difficult Brothers and Difficult Brothers", "Special Pry Corner", Jiahe's blockbuster film "WufuXing" series (playing Wang Gangfu and Wu Yiqi respectively), etc., can be seen in Wang Qing's figure.
It was from this period that Wang Qing's "big mouth" feature gradually became part of the drama plot, such as in 1982's "Difficult Brothers and Difficult Brothers", his role was first named after "Big Mouth Qing", and director Mai Jia also specially designed him to sew his big mouth up, and then accidentally cracked such a comedic situation to make the audience laugh.
Later, directed by Li Xiuxian, "Friend Over The Band" and the sequel "Modern Yamen", Wang Qing appeared in the role of "Big Mouth Ring" who often made a oolong, and over time, "Big Mouth Qing" became his nickname in reality.
Compared with the recognition of "Big Mouth Qing" in front of the screen, his behind-the-scenes directing path is much bleaker: in 1983, he made his directorial debut "Blood in Blood" with the support of Century Pictures, which tells the story of the police officer played by Feng Quanfan, who fights the twin killers, and also takes the style of gray and violent in the New Wave period, but unfortunately the response after the release of the film is flat, ranking 75th in the box office list of the same year, after which Wang Qing has never been a director, but in the 1990s, he planned a "Legend of the Hero After the Disaster", which followed the boom of the gangsters.
In the mid-1990s, Wang Qing gradually faded out of the screen and switched to TVB to focus on filming dramas, in addition to continuing to play some gang characters, he also played some amiable father and uncle roles, but when it comes to the most famous of them, it is also necessary to count the green-winged bat Wang Wei in Wu Qihua's version of "Yi Tian Slaughter Dragon Chronicles" in 2001, and some people commented that Wang Qing's version of Wei Yi laughed "laughing spooky and terrifying, interpreting that kind of city government and wit to the fullest", only because Later Wang Qing's TV series caused a sensation in the mainland. Coupled with his cameos in films such as "Jianghu", "Brothers", and "72 Tenants", he only flashed by, so most of his roles in the later period did not impress mainland audiences.
In 2012, Wang Qing left the wireless File Hong Kong Television Network, and successively starred in "Police Line", "My Aunt is a Black Rose" and "Vicious Old People's League", etc. After filming "Night Train" in 2015, his traces will be difficult to see, it is said that he has retired, but according to Wang Qing's current age, he has also reached the time to enjoy his old age quietly, I don't know how many viewers will remember him in a few years?
