In 1921, in Suzhou, not far from Shanghai, a group of people came together to leave a little fire for the ancient Kunqu opera. On the evening of May 18, the old artists of Kunda Class came up with unique skills. Zhang Mingrong led the students to explain the "Five Poisons Drama" to the audience. "Five Poisons Play" is a Kunqu ugly performance created by the generation of actors who pass on the characters, imitating geckos, centipedes, toads, snakes and spiders to perform five plays. Liu Yilong led his apprentices to perform "The Record of the Evil Sea and Descend the Mountain", which ushered in a burst of applause.

"Teachers always say that they have spent too many years and Kunqu opera experienced too much suffering. They must pass on the best and most beautiful Kunqu opera to us. Zhang Xunpeng recalled that in 1954, at the age of 13, she entered the Kunqu opera class of the Shanghai Opera School and received the true biography of the teachers of the Chuanzi generation, "They not only taught each other in art, but also took care of us in life." Teacher Zhu Chuanming braved the heavy rain to buy toffee candy from Nanjing Road and smuggled it to the classroom. ”

Yue Meiti is the only female primary school student in Kunda Class, and she thanked the teacher of the Chuanzi generation and the teacher Yu Zhenfei for letting herself persist in the inheritance of female primary school students to this day.

Ji Zhenhua just returned to Shanghai from the Kunqu opera movie "Handan Chronicle", "At the age of 79 this year, I actually had the opportunity to play a leading role on the screen, and at that moment I felt like Lu Sheng in the play, like a dream." Lu Sheng's dream was an illusory dream, but I was a real dream come true. ”

The sound of the water mill is passed on. Liang Guyin took her granddaughter Zhu Yunni to perform the "Twelve Reds" in "Good Period", "I have been learning to sing since I was a girl, as long as I sing it, it seems to be back to the girlhood." Now, my granddaughter is also growing up, watching her sing 'Twelve Reds', I feel as if I have returned to many, many years ago. This melody that can never be sung enough and cannot be sung enough is like a girl's dream. ”

After performing "Too White Drunk Writing" the day before, Cai Zhengren brought the masterpiece "The Hall of Eternal Life", and Zhang Jingxian joined hands with Wu Shuang to perform "A Thousand Miles to Send Beijing Niang".
