Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove's West End Story recently announced that it will not reopen on Broadway.

Producer Kate Horton said in a statement: "This difficult and painful decision was made after we explored all the possibilities and for a variety of reasons it is not realistic to re-enact West End Story. ”

Horton was not initially listed as a producer when he was preparing in February 2020. The British theatre executive took on that responsibility after the withdrawal of original producer Scott Ruding. Horton will now co-produce a remake of The Musician starring Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster.

West End Story has been nominated for six 2020 Drama Table Awards. The coronavirus was staged before the start of the new crown, but it was not eligible to compete in the 74th Tony Awards.

At the same time, "West End Story" is also preparing to return to the big screen, and the film version directed by Steven Spielberg will be released in theaters in December.
