Fortnite has added the character of Mike Laurie, played by Will Smith from the Jedi X-Men films, to the prop shop.
Epic Games announced the joint venture between Jedi X-Men and Fortnite in a blog post last Saturday, revealing that Detective Mike Laurie from Jedi X-Men will appear in the game.
The Mike Laurie set, now available at the Fortnite Item Shop, includes detective luggage backpacks and a double-knife style hoe.
The Fortnite blog reads: "Mike Laurie is a cool guy who is always undeniably fluid whether he's involved in explosive action or a high-speed chase. ”
The character of Mike Laurie appears in the second chapter of The Seventh Season of Fortnite, which is so strange. That's because the themes throughout the season are all about aliens and alien invasions, and as PCGamesN points out, there aren't many actors who can fight aliens on the big screen like Will Smith.
The most obvious alien theme choice for Will Smith's role would be Agent J in Men in Black, as could Steven Shearer in Independence Day. However, Mike Laurie in Jedi X-Men has never fought an alien.
