police dog

Search and rescue dogs

Fire dogs
Dolley, a Labrador, serves with the Lawden County Fire and Rescue Bureau in Virginia. Dolley's day job is to help firefighters pinpoint the cause of a fire. She also specializes in educating children on fire safety. Dogs require a year or 800 hours of training to become a fire dog certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Treatment of dogs
Dogs are able to bring a sense of love and peace to those who need help. Willow, the treatment dog, regularly visits patients in the hospital and goes to the library to accompany the children.
Truffle Hounds
As we all know, pigs are very sensitive to the smell of truffles and usually use pigs to look for truffles, but Springer Hounds, Beagles, Hounds, Labrador Hounds and Belgian Marinos are also competent for truffle hunting. Truffles sell for as much as $200 a pound, while truffle hounds don't have a salary.
sheepdog
Modern farms still need shepherds, mostly German Shepherds, Border Collies and Australian Shepherds, whose job is to bring the flock together.
