Behind the scenes:
"Filial Piety Jackpot" is based on the true story of "Guangdong Top Ten News Figures" winner and Meizhou filial piety daughter Peng Caijin. In the autumn of 1992, Peng Caijin, who was born more than 30 days ago, was adopted by his adoptive parents who lived in Guoxingwei, Luodong Village, Luogang Town, Xingning City. 10 years later, his elderly adoptive father Peng Jiaxiang was paralyzed by wrestling, coupled with the illness and disability of his adoptive mother in his early years, the two elders were both bedridden and lost the ability to take care of themselves. At that time, Xiao Xiangjin, who was still in elementary school, gave up the opportunity to return to his biological parents, and willingly stayed behind to take care of the old, sick and disabled adoptive parents to repay the grace of parenting, and supported this stormy home with young shoulders. Xiao Caijin studied and took care of his adoptive parents until the second elder died safely.
On September 5, 2005, the media reported the incident under the title of "11-year-old adopted daughter supporting the suffering home", and by chance, director Zhou Yong saw Peng Caijin's report and decided to bring the story of the little filial daughter to the screen. Subsequently, Zhou Yong and screenwriter He Zizhuang and other crews made a special trip to Meizhou to visit the place where Peng Caijin lived and studied, and dug deep into the small stories that reflected the spirit of the lottery.
On the afternoon of October 11, 2011, "Filial Piety Jackpot" held a launching ceremony and press conference at the Xingning No. 1 Middle School Sports Field of peng Caijin's school, and more than 2,000 people participated in the launching ceremony, attracting many behind-the-scenes teams to join in public welfare.
