A few days ago, the World War I-themed biopic "Blessing Prayer" starring Jack Louden released a poster. The film has previously been screened at film festivals in Toronto, San Sebastian, London and will be released in North America next spring.

The film focuses on the famous anti-war poet Siegfri Sasson, who was born into a high-society family, volunteered to join the army before the outbreak of the First World War, made many meritorious achievements, and then retired from the army because he witnessed too many cruel scenes, and chose to become a poet. His poems, which expressed his anti-war stance, were also hotly debated, became the focus of the military, and were loved by the London aristocracy and literary circles. Sassoon begins to develop romances with some, at the same time, he is crushed by the horrors of war and embarks on a lifelong journey in search of redemption, eventually trying to achieve it through marriage and religious conformity.

The film was directed by Terrance Davis (Deep Blue, Quiet Passion) and co-starred Peter Capaldi, Geraldine James, Kate Phillips, Gemma Jones, Anton Lesser, and Jeremy Evan.
