Beijing News (reporter Yang Lianjie) The 57th Golden Globe Awards Film Comedy Best Actress winner Jenny McTiel announced that she has joined Showtime's pilot series "The Missing President". Based on the novel of the same name co-authored by former U.S. President Bill Clinton and James Patterson, filming will begin this year.

The Missing President is based on a screenplay written by Anthony Pekkam, screenwriter of Sherlock Holmes, with David Oylo, the star of Nightingale and Selma, as the lead actor. In the play, he plays a vice president who has no real power and lacks ambition, and becomes the president according to the procedure after the president disappears. Despite his own reluctance, he had to take up his post with ducks and enter a White House full of classified calculations and facing a world crisis. He himself, plagued by scandals and intrigues, must choose whether to follow the party line or stick to his conscience. New jenny McTiel will play White House chief of staff Carolyn Brock in the show, who is responsible for maintaining the president's public image, and her strength and professionalism are her characteristics. Other starring actors include Paul Anderstein in Grey's Anatomy.

Jenny McTiel has previously won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy for Dandelion and has been nominated for several Golden Globes, Emmys, and Oscars. Prior to joining The Missing President, Jenny McTiel had just finished filming Season 3 of the Netflix series "Black Money Resort," and she became a resident actor in Black Money Resort from Season 2 onwards. Foreign media analysis pointed out that participating in "The Missing President" may cause her to be unable to star in the content after the third season of "Black Money Resort".
