Manchester Evening News: Gary Neville is inducted into the Manchester City Champions Hall of Fame

According to the Manchester Evening News, former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville was inducted into the Manchester Champions Hall of Fame.

The Manchester Hall of Fame recognises the city's sporting and business heroes who have inspired the next generation. Neville was also praised this week for the government's massive cuts to universal credit payments, and at the annual City Champions fundraising gala at the city's stock exchange hotel, Neville was praised for the work he did in the city. The evening was organized by the Diana-Modal Sports Foundation, which wanted to recognize the success of locals in the fields of sports, education and business, especially those who inspire the next generation.

Neville and other members of the Class of 92 have invested heavily in Sport and Leisure in Manchester, injected money into Salford City Club and promoted the 92 Foundation to inspire everyone in Greater Manchester to achieve through sport.

Neville said: "It is a huge honour to be inducted into the Manchester Champions Hall of Fame. I haven't received a lot of individual accolades in my sporting career, but I'm part of a fantastic team. There are a lot of people in this city doing great things. I'm really proud to think that I'm now on the same level as them and entering the Hall of Fame. ”
