The first phase of the "Famous Lecture Hall" organized by the Beijing Ququ Troupe was recently held, and Xu Di, a famous opera performance artist, a national first-class actor, and a popular film and television drama in recent years, gave a theme art lecture entitled "The Profession of An Actor Requires a Lifetime of Cultivation" for more than 50 cast and crew.

During this period, she reviewed the development history of Beijing opera, the only local opera genre born in beijing, born in the early 1950s after the founding of New China, developed from single-string brand music and northern folk tunes, absorbing, refining and integrating the elements and performance forms of many other drama genres. The development of opera to this day conforms to the laws of art, and there is still a large space for development. She also encouraged the young cast members present to have confidence in the play.
Talking about the topic of the long life of the actor's art, Xu Di said that the actor needs to continue to learn and constantly improve his artistic expression, she demonstrated and explained the singing sections such as "Pick Up the Copper Coin" and "Embroidered Qilin" on the spot, singing high-pitched, agitated, and full of charm. She also said that actors should be widely involved in practice, as the saying goes, "actor's belly, grocery store", the more accumulation, the more beneficial. In addition, actors must continue to improve their aesthetic ability, "how high the aesthetic is, how high the stage performance is."
In Xu Di's view, "tempering" and "magic" are two words worth exploring, she combined her artistic career and performance practice, exhorted the cast and crew to have high requirements and strict requirements for themselves, work hard, and strive for excellence in order to achieve something. It also encourages young performers to inherit and carry forward the opera, so that more ordinary people can love this art.
