Zhu Gaozheng died of illness, and Huang Zhixian and Qiu Yi sent a text to express their grief

Lin Zhengjie, a former "legislator" in Taiwan, confirmed that his friend Zhu Gaozheng died of colorectal cancer in Wanfang Hospital on the evening of the 22nd, at the age of 67. Zhu Gaozheng was one of the first members of the Democratic Progressive Party and a "legislator" known for his "violent administration" style. Due to his growing dissatisfaction with the DPP's sense of "Taiwan independence," he chose to part ways with the DPP in 1990. Later, he formed the "Chinese Social Democratic Party" and merged into the New Party. In his later years, he retired from politics and studied the Tao Te Ching and the I Ching. Because Zhu Gaozheng has been committed to opposing "Taiwan independence" and supporting cross-strait reunification, his illness and death have also caused many people of the reunification faction to be reluctant to do so.

Zhu Gaozheng died of illness, and Huang Zhixian and Qiu Yi sent a text to express their grief

On the evening of the 22nd, huang Zhixian said on Facebook with the title of "Tribute to my respected democratic predecessor Zhu Gaozheng" that Zhu Gaozheng is the predecessor she has admired since she was young. For Zhu Gaozheng's death from cancer, she felt grief-stricken, "even the words of mourning cannot be written." Huang Zhixian also shouted, "Why did you die so early?" Promise me to recover! ”

After the scholar Qiu Yi learned of Zhu Gaozheng's death, he also posted, "Not long ago, Zhu Gaozheng invited me to give a speech, but I did not expect that this distinction would become a permanent separation between heaven and man." Qiu Yi pointed out that Zhu Gao is a legendary figure in Taiwan's political circles, he is the founding elder of the DPP, but he opposes the DPP's pursuit of the "Taiwan independence" line and therefore withdraws from the DPP. "In 1993, when I fell out with Lee Teng-hui and became a major criminal, Zhu Gao was one of the few righteous people who dared to stand up and help me."

Qiu Yi also recalled that later, when he was about to go to jail for pursuing Chen Shui-bian's corruption case, Zhu Gaozheng, who had been absent for a long time, suddenly appeared to invite me to a gathering, and provided valuable prison experience with his personal status, reminding Qiu Yi to pay attention to safety and "not be assassinated by conspiracy."

Qiu Yi said that after many years, he occasionally met Zhu Gaozheng at some seminars on traditional Chinese studies on the mainland, "When I spoke, I always mentioned that he was the enlightener of my politics. It can be seen that he is a little emotional, and seems to have returned to the appearance of the storm in those years."

Qiu Yi said that when he first heard the news of Zhu Gaozheng's death from the reporter, he was very surprised and inexplicably sad, and could only wish his old friend all the way well and meet in heaven in the future. (Lin Jingxian/Editor)
