On September 28, a reporter from the surging news (www.thepaper.cn) learned from Shanghai's Baoshan District that in the northern section of the Baoshan riverside area, a huge "cylindrical" building rose from the ground and pointed directly at the sky. This is the Long Beach Observation Tower that has been capped and successfully lifted with a steel structure of the curtain wall.
The Long Beach Tower is a 25.7-meter-diameter and 180-meter-high cylindrical tower that stands at the confluence of the Huangpu River and the Yangtze River. The entire tower has 3 floors underground and 19 floors above ground, which is currently the tallest building in Baoshan District.

Since the official start of construction in 2018, the Long Beach Tower has begun to produce the curtain wall steel structure of the wind tower project in 2020, and the outer frame steel structure has been upgraded from March 2021 to September 2021. After the steel structure is completed, a glass curtain wall will be installed.
The construction personnel said that the steel structure of the curtain wall of the suspension section was finely adjusted in place through the joint traction of six hydraulic synchronous lifting equipment, and at present, the lifting construction has been successfully completed. Since its launch on March 19, 2021, the curtain wall steel structure has been upgraded for nearly six months. During this period, a total of 8 consecutive lifts were carried out in staged ground assembly, and the overall position was continuously lifted 3 times, with a maximum stroke of 92 meters, a total stroke of 224 meters, and a total weight of 1368 tons.
After the curtain wall is installed, the Long Beach Sightseeing Tower will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Baoshan Riverside at 360 degrees, and at the same time, tourists can clearly see the "four-piece set" of Chongming Three Islands and Pudong Lujiazui when visiting the tower.
