Are there really going to be a lot of girls who take "nude/intimate photos" of themselves?
With this question in mind, I recently did a questionnaire about nude/intimate photos, and in just two days, 2335 girls shared their experiences and thoughts.
The results were also a bit unexpected.
Let's start with the definition of nude photos:
Nude photos referred to in this article are photos/videos that reveal private parts, are in a more nude state, or engage in private behavior.
Of the 2335 women who answered, most of them were concentrated in the age of 18-25, and the smallest number was women over 35 years old, with only 52.
But the matter of taking nude photos has little to do with age, and the proportion of people of each age who have taken nude photos is not low.
The end result was that 1,419 of the 2,335 people had taken nude photos of themselves, equivalent to six out of every ten girls!
I like my body, don't I?
Today, when the "nude photo leak" news is endless, there must be some people who have a soul question about this: Why shoot it?
It's like knowing that some clothes will go out and wear them.
In fact, girls taking nude photos are really for a reason:
In the "Other" option, we get more real and interesting reasons:
Someone bought erotic underwear and wanted to see if it looked good;
Some people want to keep the appearance of their young body, ready to show themselves when they are old;
Some people are curious about their own bodies: a girl heard that girls' private parts are pink, and she took a picture to see - the result is deceitful;

The nude photos were taken, and 685 girls said they would share them with those they would like to share. Some of them send "beautiful photos" to girlfriends, and more send them to partners.
I have noticed that there are also many girls who write "taking nude photos because their boyfriend/husband wants to see it", but do not check "I want to share with people who are willing to share", and some people even say that taking nude photos is "boyfriend persecution".

Another girl described a very dangerous "sharing" experience:

Remember: Sending nude photos to online strangers who claim to be "cosmetic or therapeutic" is a dangerous thing to do.

Of the 1,419 girls who took nude photos for a variety of purposes, 125 said they had been exposed or used for bad behavior.
This proportion does not seem large. However, everyone who witnessed it was inevitably distressed, they felt anger, panic or shame, and some were even harassed to this day.
One girl told me that in early 2021, after her private photos and licenses were leaked, she began to be harassed in a vicious manner.
Those who hide in the shadows of the artificial rumor that she is a small third, exposing her address, work, school information, and then using her photo to register on the dating website, playing pornography on social platforms.
Because the other party held her license, she could not delete the post by presenting evidence to the platform, and she could not prove that she was herself.
There are also girls who have been threatened by (ex)boyfriends.
Some of them use nude photos sent by their former girlfriends, and some use videos that are secretly taken or forcibly recorded, with the personal information of girls they have during their relationship, which is extremely threatening.
Some girls did not explicitly say their own experiences, but they meant something: don't be photographed by your partner, after the breakup is a time bomb.
Some girls confessed that they had been threatened by their boyfriend at the time, and dared to break up with her ordinary photos plus nude photos that were not herself, and pasted them in school, with "little yellow text".

Don't let your nude photos "run naked"
Whatever the need, taking nude photos is also a personal freedom, not right or wrong.

What scares me, however, is that more than 40% of people who keep nude photos on electronic devices or upload them online don't provide additional protection for nude photos.

The marks with personal characteristics (tattoos, birthmarks, scars, etc.) on the body are hidden, the information outside the subject is blurred, the spatio-temporal information of the photo is hidden, and only the modified photo is saved.
If you shoot your face, you can choose heavy makeup, cross-dressing, etc., but try to avoid the same frame of the face and sensitive parts.

Use personal equipment to shoot and store. Don't easily share nude photos, and don't keep them in someone else's place. If it goes out, stare at the other person and delete the photo or video.
Some "private photo photography" agencies should also beware. Some girls said that after taking private photos in the studio, they wanted to return to the negatives but were rejected, which seemed to be some kind of industry rule, and could only hope that the studio staff had a good professional ethics.

Since the cloud is on the server, the situation involved is more complex, and the security of the server database is not controllable by the individual, so from the perspective of "saving nude photos", local security must be greater than cloud security.
In addition, for data, the fewer the number of transfers, the safer, because the process of transfer means copying, and the more times it is copied, the greater the probability of being discovered.
If you have saved it on the network disk or cloud disk, make good use of the encryption function, and pay special attention to account security. After logging in on someone else's device, don't forget to disable autofill and make sure your account is logged out.

Use encrypted albums, folders, or private spaces, or encrypt them with third-party software from big factories, pay attention to turning off the relevant permissions and synchronization backup functions of albums and various programs.
If you do not call it frequently, you can modify the name of the folder where the photo is located, make the folder into an encrypted package, and modify the package suffix (file type). When you want to see it, you can do it backwards.
You can also use a special U disk or a portable hard disk, or a mobile phone, computer, or pad that does not plug in the card or network to save photos. However, we must pay attention to storage, do not lose it, and do not use it by others.
▌ Learn to delete "clean"
After the photos are deleted, remember to empty the Recycle Bin, or go to the album or folder such as "Recently Deleted" to delete it again.
Before scrapping the device or selling it second-hand, it is not enough to simply factory reset or format the device.
This way, just let the system cut off the connection between the file and you, the ordinary user, and does not really delete the file completely.
After the factory reset, you can fill the storage space with large files (such as high-definition movies) and then delete them, repeatedly erasing and overwriting them to improve the difficulty of recovering data.
If the device is stored on an SSD, a Secure Erase (SE) can also be performed.
In fact, all kinds of encryption, removal, protection, are not 100% insurance.
