Rohan Mishra, Head of India at Helo, said the past two years had been "a truly exciting journey". Helo connects with users and communities for its unique affinity and likability, while continuing to deliver innovative content, celebrity interactions, events and apps that make them memorable experiences.

Rohan further added: "As we work with our users to reach milestones, Helo will contribute to the establishment of a healthy social media ecosystem in India. Along the way, we'll also focus on building an ecosystem of creators, taking impactful social initiatives and bringing together community creativity. We owe our success to every partner, user and creator, thanks to their trust and support for Helo. ”

Launched in India in June 2018, Helo is committed to bringing together people with similar interests, creating and sharing content in local languages, and building an atmosphere for community discussion. After two years of development, Helo has become the leading social media platform in India today. At the same time, with its extensive influence in India and covering 15 local Indian language content, Helo has also become the preferred social media platform for film and television and top celebrity promotion. In 2019, nearly 250 films in 8 languages were announced at Helo.

In addition, Helo's diversified on-site activities cover cricket sports, education, travel, festivals and other vertical categories, which not only attracted 80% of India's first-line media to settle in, but also received support from well-known brands such as OYO, Tripoto, Yatra and so on.

Today, Helo has become an important part of ByteDance's globalization strategy. In addition to Hero, ByteDance also owns a number of global products such as TikTok, an enterprise application suite, Lark, and a social music streaming application, Sucho.
