The plain and calm Yongsheng Town interprets the story of the town that the city does not have,—— however, their life is a movie, maybe not exciting enough, maybe not romantic enough, but real, within reach, the town is the wrinkled face of the villagers, and there is a story in each wrinkle, recording my childhood naughtiness, my childhood dreams, and the changes in the town. The town is a sweet piece of candy on the shelf of the house-to-house freighter, like the townspeople, solid and intriguing. The town is a colorful gouache painting, turquoise crops and vegetables, blue sky, clear and quiet river water, pale yellow earthen walls, clean white tiles, black alleyways, red neon lights, ancient and modern, tradition and full of youthful vitality.
Yongsheng Town is located in the northwest of Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, bordering Wudu, Xinchun, Shuanghe, Beicheng and other townships, covering an area of 80.2 square kilometers and a population of 27,000 people, including 26,000 agricultural population. The cultivated land area is 29,838 mu, and the per capita arable land area is 1.1 bean mu.
Yongsheng has a long history of being built as one of the seven towns of Zhangming during the Northern Song Dynasty. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Cocoon City Dam because of the prosperity of the silkworm cocoon market; during the Daoguang years, it was renamed Longquanchang Township because of the strong incense of Longquan Temple in Changzhen, and Longquan Town was established in the 3rd year of the Republic of China; in the 29th year of the Republic of China, the local bandits plundered, and after the bandits were destroyed, they changed their name to Yongping in order to seek eternal peace. In 1967, it was renamed Yongsheng Commune, and in 1992 it was renamed Yongsheng Town.
In 2001, the revision of the small town construction plan of the market town was completed, the development of commercial and residential buildings in Chaishi Street was accelerated, the idle land was effectively used, the scale of the market town was expanded, and a good environment was created for the development of the market trade economy.
In 2000, an investment of 1.8 million yuan was made to build Yongwu Road connecting Wudu, a 6-kilometer tertiary cement road on Yongwu Road, with an investment of 50,000 yuan to improve the ancillary project of Yonghong Road connecting the Zhongyan Highway, strengthen the construction of village-level roads, and all village groups in the town can be opened to traffic. By the end of 2000, the town had formed a transportation network with Yonghong Road and Yongwu Road as the main two town-level roads, supplemented by village-level roads. In 2001, Yongsheng Town actively launched and carefully organized, on the basis of completing the construction of the cement pavement of Yonghong Road and Yongwu Road, without increasing the burden on farmers, invested 350,000 yuan to implement the construction projects of "Wenchang Bridge" and "Yongxiao Bridge", and smoothly opened to traffic.
