On September 26th, at the opening ceremony of the roller skating competition of the 3rd Dongguan Municipal Games, four children of the MGL International MS Roller Dance Team presented a wonderful performance. On the same day, in the "Round Ice 111" National Youth Short Track Speed Roller Skating Tour (Hubei Branch) held in Wuhan, there were also children who presented eye-catching roller skating dance performances.

Wheel dance not only conveys the spirit of sportsmanship, but also stands in the perspective of art and competition, leading roller skating to a new era. In 2017, the first national round dance competition was held, carrying the hope of roller skaters for the new development of wheel dance, and became another new milestone in the history of Chinese roller skating.
Since then, the State General Administration of Sport and the China Roller Skating Association have paid close attention to relevant developments, attached great importance to and supported the wheel dance project, continued to hold innovative wheel dance events, and are committed to promoting the development of wheel dance and the diversified development of roller skating projects.
Today, China's round dance team has grown rapidly and has performed well in various competitions. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese wheel dance national team Olive Crew is the champion of the World Wheel Dance Competition.
Part 01
Ride the wind with the trend, and the wheel dance blooms for several years
What exactly is a wheel dance? Many people will understand it as dancing in roller skates. In fact, the wheel dance is based on the characteristics of roller skating, integrated into the performing arts, and because it is a group project, compared with the freestyle that focuses on individual competition skills, it is more inclined to a comprehensive performance, including the creativity of roller skating performances, the cooperation between groups, the individual performance of wheel dancers, as well as costumes, choreography, teams, lights, music and scenes, etc., which is a sport with strong ornamentality.
Dating back to 2014, although the wheel dance at that time, or roller skating street dance, because of the influence of some styles or preferences, the dance style has a copy of the shadow, but the prototype of the wheel dance has been revealed, the former Eleven Crew captain Chen Xinlun is the pioneer of the flower pile street dance of that era.

Kim Sung Jin, a Korean, not only influenced the entire freestyle skating program from 2004 to 2011, but also opened the era of roller skating dance from 2015. Whether it is "Run Away Baby" or "Uptown Funk", under the influence of KSJ, roller skating dance gradually began to have a look, style, and memorable moments.
Under the influence of the tide of the times, the Culture of Saint Ba was promoted throughout the country in the form of the Holy Pink Festival, and the Exchange Wheel Dance Team with KSJ as the core toured the country as the ambassador of the wheel dance promotion.
In 2016, in the model of the Holy Pink Festival, the Scream Roller Skating City Race was popular nationwide.
The roller skating dance competition of The Holy Pink Night gave the teenagers in each city the opportunity to be staged. More and more training institutions and clubs are putting their energy into the competition of roller skating dance.
In 2017, the first China Wheel Dance Open Competition was held in Shunde, and in the same year, the first World Roller Skating Dance Grand Prix was held in Shanghai. This year, with the development of China's roller skating for 35 years, it is thriving, and the wheel dance is taking advantage of the wind. At the same time, however, it is impossible to unify the standards, and the dialectic of wheel-based or dance-first has to make different voices appear on the field of roller skating dance.
However, in 2019, the "Return of Ten Thousand Laws", the wheel dance has become a member of the roller skating project, and it has initially progressed in an orderly direction.
Part 02
The rules are square, and the rules for wheel dance are newly introduced
Round dance frequency now the competition has become the norm, figure out the objective scoring rules to win the competition to win a high score. At the end of May last year, the "China Roller Skating Association Wheel Dance Competition Rules 2019 (Trial)" was promulgated, which explained the definition of wheel dance, competition venue layout, roller skates, etc., aiming to provide objective scoring methods and guidance for all levels of wheel dance events.
Depending on the situation, the dance competition will be divided into different groups, and the corresponding competition time will be available according to the group. For example, the performance time is 105 seconds to 120 seconds in the children's group, 120 seconds to 150 seconds in the junior group, and 180 seconds to 210 seconds in the youth group and above.
The scoring content of the wheel dance is divided into two parts, the roller skating technology and dance part. The roller skating technical part contains two scoring items, formation and skating, and the dance section includes two scoring items: choreography and performance.
In the scoring rules, it is very clear that the wheel dance is the mastery of the wheel and dance. According to the "China Roller Skating Association Wheel Dance Competition Rules 2019 (Trial)", while examining and scoring the gliding ability shown by the performance team, including gliding fluency, diversity, difficulty and roller skating technical ability such as gliding speed control and limb control, the team must change at least three formations, dance choreography should make full use of the venue, and stage emotions and appeal should achieve results. On the whole, although the gliding point is the largest of the four major items, the remaining three related to the performance of dance can also be combined with five or five.
After combining other penalty terms, including out-of-bounds, wrestling, insufficient performance time or overtime at the time of the competition, etc., which are not caused by the performance interruption, music overdue submission, or misconduct caused by the contestants themselves, the performance team will receive their own points, and thus rank, compete for the best champion.

It's unpredictable and unpredictable, how much do you know about the dance formation?
Each of the relevant elements of the wheel dance has a big article, today I will briefly talk about the wheel dance formation.
The rules about the round dance formation in the competition: one is that the technical points of the wheel dance include formation and sliding; the second is to score the formation transformation completed by the performance team; and the third is that at least 3 different formations need to be changed in the whole performance.
Generally speaking, although the formation is the lowest score in the major event, it is the same as the queue change performance when the class briefly enters the opening ceremony of the school sports day, and the change of the formation is the most intuitive and felt in the performance.
The two basic elements of the dance formation: one is the number of people, with a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 15 people; the other is the basic formation, straight, triangular, rectangular and circular, on the basis of which the formation changes.
Three-man formation
Because there are few people, there are only two basic formations.
Therefore, the rules require at least three or more transformations of formations, and can only make a fuss on these two basic formations, such as lines can be like this:
Three-person round dance, although it is easy to form a team, but the basic formation is small, the change is relatively single, and there are requirements for choreography methods and individual skills of athletes.
Four-man formation
There are 3 basic formations for four people.

Five-man formation
The basic formation of 5 people is very rich. Some of the formations are slightly changed, which is a new formation.
Formation of more than six people
For more than six people, you can use two formation methods.
One is to take advantage of the large number of people to build more complex formations; another is to build a combination formation with basic elements.
For example, 6 people can be seen as 3+3, or 2+4 people, so they can be changed on the basis of 3 or 4 people formation.
The formation of multiple people can basically be similar, and today I will first cite the formation of 8 people.

At present, the scoring method has no stricter requirements for the round dance formation, and the team can choose according to their own ideas or the content of the performance.
