Paramount is expected to remake "The King and Me" based on the musical of the same name

As a legacy and treasure of Hollywood, 1956's "The King and Me" was loved by fans. A few days ago, some media exposed that Paramount and Temple Hill labels are planning to work together to remake this famous film.

The original version of The King and I is based on the musical of the same name and takes place in Siam, which is today's Thailand. The protagonists are anna, an English governess, and the king of Siam. As a governess, Anna was required to teach the King's 58 children, and during the work, complex emotions developed between Anna and the King, and the cultural conflict was only one aspect. Through Anna, the king learned the essence and connotation of modern Western civilization. After a successful party for foreign dignitaries, Anna and the king danced passionately to celebrate, but were eventually interrupted by a quarrel between the two men, because the king's new princess dared to fall in love with someone else, and Anna thought that the king's punishment of her was too cruel. Despite the many discord between the two, Anna and the King eventually achieved mutual respect and collided with each other.

The musical version of The King and I is based on the novel Anna and the King of Siam by British writer Margaret Langden, while Anna and the King of Siam is based on Anna and the King of Siam, Anna and the King, a memoir from Anna and the King: Six Years of Bangkok's Royal Palace. In 1862, at the invitation of the Siamese royal family, Anna Leonovins traveled from Singapore to serve as a tutor for King Rama V until she moved to Canada in 1867, describing the life of the Siamese royal family. Subsequently, the memoir entered the public eye and was adapted into a musical and a movie.

Whether it is a musical or a film version, the work is very popular in the entertainment industry, and has won Tony Awards and Oscars.
