Recently, Chenshan Botanical Garden hung customized plant nameplates for the Putuo District Party Group Center, putuo District along the Suzhou River, Huangpu District South Suzhou Road along the green space, and at the launching ceremony and ecological experience activities of the 7th Shanghai International Nature Conservation Week, invited small representatives of the public to jointly hang up the "ID card" for the plants, bring the knowledge of plant science to people who came to exercise and rest, help the improvement of citizens' scientific literacy, and create a good ecological civilization environment. In addition to the name of the plant, these exquisite stainless steel plant nameplates also have a two-dimensional code entrance, and the public only needs to scan it with a mobile phone to see more information about this plant through photos, voices and other multimedia forms.
Suzhou Creek is a tributary of the Yangtze River Huangpu River tributary Wusong River Shanghai section commonly known, known as "Shanghai's mother river", the river is the center of Shanghai's initial formation and development, giving birth to almost half of ancient Shanghai. In recent years, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Greening and City Appearance has carried out comprehensive improvement of the landscape greening along the Suzhou Creek. In the process of construction, adhere to the concept of greening, color, preciousness and efficiency, and transform the new riverfront landscape to provide citizens with a good waterfront recreation space. In order to bring plant science to the general public, Chenshan Botanical Garden has hung about 130 plant nameplates for 42 kinds of plants in some sections, and in the future, the "Life Show Belt" of Suzhou Creek will be built into a "Plant Science Popularization Belt" to further enhance the cultural connotation and scientific taste of public space.
This is also the first time that the "Campus Plant Classroom" of Chenshan Botanical Garden meets with the general public friends in the public green space "Campus Plant Classroom" is a new brand activity launched by Chenshan Botanical Garden in 2020, through the listing of plants for primary and secondary schools in Shanghai, science lectures, tree statistics, the formation of teacher learning groups and other activities, in-depth cooperation with the school to carry out plant science popularization cooperation. After more than a year of hard work, it has hung customized plant nameplates for 110 schools and carried out plant science lectures in more than 30 schools, covering 8830 student audiences. In the future, Chenshan Botanical Garden will continue to promote the "Campus Plant Classroom" and cooperate with the Botanical Garden in the Yangtze River Delta to promote it on a larger scale.
