"We've heard from some of the most reliable sources that coffee can help you defecate."
For this reason, Australian sustainable toilet paper brand Who Gives a Crap recently launched its own coffee. Who Gives a Crap means "who's talking nonsense," but they do sell coffee seriously.

Who Gives a Crap originated from a crowdfunding campaign launched in July 2012, where the brand pledged to donate 50% of its profits to toilets and other sanitation facilities in developing countries. According to brands, there are still 2 billion people around the world who do not enjoy the freedom of when, where and how to go to the toilet.
The more people who go to the toilet, the more Who Gives a Crap can donate. So every time the toilet is used, the consumer is part of the positive impact. This time the coffee was also added.
The coffee, called Blend No. 2, is said to have a "juicy ripe apple and dark chocolate" flavor that can be whole or ground, packaged in compostable packages, and shipped carbon neutral. A 500g Blend No. 2 coffee bean or ground coffee costs $29 and comes with a roll of "extremely soft" 100% bamboo toilet paper.
"That way you can do better every morning (and maybe even in the afternoon)." The brand said so on its official website.
The launch of the coffee was inspired by the April Fool's Day joke a few years ago, in line with the toilet paper brand's long-standing philosophy:
toilet humor and making the world a better place.
In other words, they are based on the imagination, "toilet humor" has always appeared in their words and deeds, and the brand has a performance art style at the beginning of its establishment.
▲ Team Members.
The founding team comes from Melbourne, New York and other places, and works as engineers and product designers. Crowdfunding costs $50,000, and in the crowdfunding video, founder Simon Griffiths announces that he will not leave the toilet without reaching the crowdfunding count, and viewers can go to the official website to watch the live broadcast. Eventually he sat on the toilet for 50 hours, and Who Gives A Crap reached his crowdfunding goal. Fortunately, the toilet is placed in a "well-ventilated warehouse".

Prior to the crowdfunding, the team spent two years preparing for the development of toilet paper, culminating in the launch of "Eco-Friendly Recycled". Made from 100% recycled paper, this toilet paper is biodegradable and helps reduce carbon dioxide and particulate matter emissions and conserve water. Sources of recycled paper include post-consumer waste paper and a small amount of industrial waste paper. The team promises not to sacrifice comfort for environmental protection, it contains no harmful chemicals, is priced no higher than other toilet paper, and is "as soft and firm as the mane of a unicorn".
▲ Toilet paper that is friendly to the world, people, and ass.
Who Gives A Crap delivered its first product in March 2013 and has been growing ever since. Their ideas and humor are recognized by more and more consumers.

Who Gives A Crap also has an interesting blog with many "smelly" posts, such as helping people choose the perfect playlist in different toilet states, listening to Hans Zimmer when constipated, listening to the soundtrack of the popular show "I May Destroy You" in a sudden emergency, and it is a pun, "Don't scroll through your favorite songs on Spotify, let us do the dirty work for you".
Of course, they are also using this blog to popularize how important toilets and water resources are. Toilets are actually one of the most useful tools for keeping waterways clean, without which waste enters local rivers and is back in people's food, so sick people make up half of the beds in hospitals in developing countries.
The brand that helped build the toilet believes they are "saving the world from the bottom up":
Imagine what your life would be like without a toilet. Toilets aren't just about saving lives and improving economic conditions – they're about basic dignity that we believe everyone on the planet should use. That's why we're passionate about what we do. It's more than just toilet paper.
When everyone is healthy, children can finish school, and adults can create more thriving businesses. In fact, for every $1 invested in water and sanitation, there is an average return of $6.80. The Who Gives A Crap team alone could not build toilets, so the team worked with partners and international organizations in Ethiopia, Kenya and elsewhere to provide water and sanitation to places where clean water was most needed and to teach sanitation to local communities.

But as an average consumer, getting involved couldn't be easier – just picking up a roll of toilet paper. The more you wipe, the more toilets Who Gives A Crap can help build.
Since its inception in 2012, the brand has donated $10 million to health charities around the world. This year, the brand also received multimillion-dollar support from tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes and global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills. Who Gives a Crap's mission is to ensure that everyone has access to clean water and toilets during their lifetime.
