On August 12, the weather was hot in Hongshi Village, Xieluo Town, Longshan County.

Jiang Zhijian, who set off from Changsha early in the morning, walked into the lingzhi ecological planting shed in the village at noon. The stout reishi mushroom is in the process of powder spraying, laying a rich chocolate color on the greenhouse. Jiang Shengjian gently twisted a small piece of Ganoderma lucidum spore powder with his fingers and twisted it open, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face: "This powder is as delicate as pearl powder, and it will definitely sell for a good price this year." ”

"Thanks to Professor Jiang's hand-in-hand guidance, those of us farmers who only know how to grow lilies have now learned to grow Ganoderma lucidum, and we will earn more in the future." Yang Daoyu, a greenhouse worker, gave a happy thumbs up.

"I have the key to getting rid of poverty, and I insist on giving it to 'fungus farmers'." Since 1998, Jiang Shengjian has actively participated in the province's science and technology poverty alleviation work, served as a science and technology commissioner in Hunan Province for 10 years, brought edible mushroom planting technology to the land of Sanxiang, and helped more than 10,000 poor households to achieve poverty alleviation, with an average annual income of more than 3,000 yuan and driving farmers to increase their income by hundreds of millions of yuan.

Longshan Yu "Immortal Grass"

Ganoderma lucidum is known as "fairy herb", which has the effect of tonifying qi and calming the nerves, suppressing cough and asthma. Wild ganoderma lucidum generally grows in high humidity and dimly lit mountain forests.

Ginger has considerable experience in the cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum. After the counterpart of Yuelu District of Changsha City helped Longshan County to settle in Hongshi Village, it has been looking for ideas for industrial poverty alleviation, and invited Jiang Zhijian to come to guide. After several field visits, Jiang Believe believes that there is a vast space for local cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum.

"Teacher Jiang is an expert, and we listen to him." Wang Guojun, head of the task force of Helping Longshan County in Yuelu District, Changsha City, said that Yuelu District took Ganoderma lucidum planting as a key industry poverty alleviation project, invested 700,000 yuan, and built a temperature-controlled greenhouse covering an area of 2,000 square meters.

At first, however, some local people were not optimistic about the project. Some villagers have never even seen Lingzhi and wonder: Is this thing a good breed? Is it easy to sell?

"I must use my own technology to do this thing well and help everyone get rid of poverty and get rich!" Jiang Zhijian went into the villagers' homes to lobby, organized Zhang Yuanxiu and other villagers in the village who have experience in growing oyster mushrooms to their work units, participated in the professional training of the Edible Mushroom Research Institute and on-site inspection and study, so that they had confidence in their hearts.

The delicate "fairy grass" of Ganoderma lucidum is not so easy to serve. From site selection and construction of greenhouses, to technical teaching, on-site problem solving, this year, Jiang Sexjian's weekends were basically spent in Hongshi Village.

A few days before May Day this year, there was a lot of rain. Jiang Sexjian was not at ease, and came to Hongshi Village on May 1 as soon as the holiday was over. That night, it rained again in the village, and the rain washed away the greenhouses and shook them. Once the greenhouse collapses, all the lingzhi will be destroyed.

The situation was urgent, Jiang Shengjian rolled up his sleeves, pulled up his pants, and together with the villagers, repaired the beams for the greenhouse, and made an all-nighter. The greenhouse was safe, ginger was soaking wet and muddy. "He's a real man who does practical things." Recalling the sleepless night spent together, Zhang Yuanxiu, the leader of the greenhouse technical management team, was very moved.

The trouble continues. As rain dripped into the greenhouse, mold spots appeared in some of the fungus bags. Zhang Yuanxiu was impatient and immediately asked Jiang Shengjian for help. Jiang Zhijian immediately instructed them to take measures such as sprinkling lime powder, spraying potassium permanganate water, drainage, ventilation and other measures to remedy.

However, the situation did not improve immediately. One day or two, more and more moldy bags of bacteria are produced. "At that time, I felt that I was going to be finished, and I had no confidence." Zhang Yuanxiu said. Jiang Shengjian patiently explained that prevention and control needs a process, and encouraged everyone to conscientiously implement prevention and control measures. Five days and six days, mold no longer spreads; seven days and eight days, moldy mold spots are reduced; after more than ten days, most of the mold packages are successfully removed, and the loss drops to about 1%. "If it weren't for Professor Jiang, how could we have persevered?" You don't see the greenhouses as they are now. Yang Daoyu said with emotion.

"Our Ganoderma lucidum is cultivated from mountain wood and is close to wild quality. This is incomparable to ordinary Ganoderma lucidum cultivation. Jiang Zhijian introduced that the greenhouse planted 30,000 mushroom packets, and the output of Ganoderma lucidum spore powder this year can reach more than 300 kilograms, according to the price of about 1,000 yuan per kilogram, and the market price is expected to reach more than 300,000 yuan.

"There are already a lot of pharmaceutical companies sending people to see. I was very happy to hear their offer. Yang Daoyu said, "I also planted 20 acres of lilies." These 3 acres of Ganoderma lucidum are expected to exceed the income of 20 acres of lilies. ”

With a bumper harvest in sight, Jiang Zhijian was also interested in planning projects such as greenhouse aquaculture circular economy, Ganoderma lucidum wine, and Ganoderma lucidum bonsai to strengthen industrial projects. In fact, this has gone beyond the content of his poverty alleviation work. "Since there is this technology, I will teach. As long as the peasants get rich, I will achieve my goal. He said.

Three Xiang species of bacteria busy

Since 2011, Jiang Has been participating in poverty alleviation as a science and technology commissioner in Hunan Province, holding more than 30 edible mushroom technology training courses throughout the province, training more than 4,000 mushroom farmers, more than 200 professional and technical personnel, serving 8 leading enterprises, and adding more than 60 million yuan to the new output value of enterprises. Among them, in Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, where he supported the counterpart, more than 100 technical backbones and professional households were trained, and more than 600 poor households were successfully lifted out of poverty.

"Most of the more than 120 counties and municipalities and more than 1,400 townships in Hunan Province have been there. Of the 20 state-level poverty-stricken counties, such as Pingjiang, Huayuan, Baojing, etc., I will not fall behind. "Running all over the countryside and paying hard work, Jiang Shengjian not only did not complain in the slightest, but also quite proud.

Once in the countryside of Yongzhou, Jiang Zhijian rode a borrowed motorcycle to a poor family to guide, one was not careful, even people with a car fell into the farmland, covered in mud, many abrasions, pain can not get up, fortunately a farmer passed by to help him up. Able to go, he continued his journey.

During the epidemic this year, Jiang Shengjian went to Tangjiafang Town, Suining County, to guide the bamboo sun technology, but due to the heavy rain that delayed the trip, the time was too late, so he had to live in a farmhouse that had not been repaired for many years. The cold wind poured into the room, and he was cold, and he shivered and covered all the clothes in his suitcase, but it was difficult to resist the cold. When he reached his destination, he didn't say a word and went to work.

Because he had to go to the field to guide, he was often busy until late to eat, and he couldn't stand the hunger and endured. Sometimes, he borrowed to live in the villagers' homes or the office of the village committee, there were many mosquitoes in the countryside, biting him and swelling his face with a large piece, and when the villagers asked with concern, he also smiled and said "it's okay."

Jiang Sexjian is old and his health is not good, and his family advises him not to run around again. He said: "A person's life will soon pass. To get rid of poverty, I can do what I can, which is an honor. ”

Jiang Shengjian's rush was not in vain. Pingjiang's new varieties of shiitake mushroom fungus, Suining's bamboo fungus, Xiangtan's black chicken fir fungus... The poverty alleviation projects he has been involved in have been fruitful.

Huang Fenglan, an ordinary peasant woman in Yizhang County, founded the Yong harmonious planting professional cooperative, specializing in growing oyster mushrooms, but has been losing money. In 2015, under the guidance of Jiang Shengjian, Huang Fenglan successfully tried to plant South Korean red zhi with good quality and high yield, developed 162 cooperative members, and radiation drove more than 800 mu of edible mushrooms in all townships in the county, and edible mushroom growers achieved an average annual income of more than 40,000 yuan. The fate of Huang Fenglan and the local villagers has undergone a fundamental change with the technical assistance of Jiang Shengjian.

Wang Zengyi, a farmer in Chunhua Town, Changsha County, was once impoverished by illness. Jiang Shengjian came to Wang Zeng's house and instructed him to grow edible mushrooms by hand, running dozens of times a year. In just 10 years, Wang Zengyi changed from a poor household to a local "tip-top household", bought a car and built a new building.

In recent years, although the countryside road and poverty alleviation road have experienced many ups and downs, Jiang Sexjian feels that the biggest gain is still feelings. Every time he went to the countryside to guide, the farmers warmly welcomed and sent him the products he guided to grow, which was when he was most happy.

Long with mushrooms

Ginger has been involved in the cultivation of edible mushrooms for more than 30 years. "Whatever technology farmers need to get rid of poverty, I will study what technology." He said proudly.

In recent years, Jiang Shengjian has presided over and participated in more than 10 national, provincial and municipal scientific and technological research projects, and selected and bred 7 new excellent varieties such as apricot abalone mushroom, purple fungus, and white tea tree mushroom.

Although the benefits of cultivating edible mushrooms are quite high, their environmental and technical requirements are also very high. Some farmers have no technology and still grow edible mushrooms according to the previous idea of "relying on the sky to eat", and the result is a lot of losses. Jiang Zhijian adapts to local conditions, scientifically arranges planting plans according to the natural conditions of different places and the actual situation of farmers.

In order to allow farmers to produce green food that meets safety standards, Jiang Zhijian led the team to develop many heavy metal and pesticide residue prevention and control methods, such as ion competition adsorption control technology, adding embedding agents, etc.

With more and more varieties of edible mushrooms and the gradual expansion of the scale of the entire industry, Jiang Zhijian began to think and study the problems of standardized and factory production of edible mushrooms. He insisted on standardizing the operation in the production process, and also participated in the formulation of 4 local standards for edible mushrooms in Hunan Province.

During the epidemic this year, Jiang Zhijian used his free time to write a brief technical guide book for edible mushroom cultivation and took the initiative to contact and distribute it to mushroom farmers.

The great changes brought by science and technology to rural poverty alleviation are in Jiang Shengjian's eyes. "Farmers are the largest group in the country, the countryside is an important position, and the edible mushroom planting technology is a technology that is very suitable for rural development industries, which is of great significance for poverty alleviation." Jiang Shengjian said.

Poverty alleviation is hard work and hard work

In Hongshi Village, the reporter not only saw the Ganoderma lucidum greenhouse covered with chocolate-colored spore powder, but also saw the temporary residence of Jiang Shengjian.

It is a small house temporarily furnished into a bedroom by the village committee office, with simple beds and tables, and a screen net simply nailed to the windows.

From May 1 to 11 this year, Jiang Shengjian lived here for 11 consecutive days. Because of his haste and lack of time to prepare mosquito coils, he was often awakened by swarms of mosquitoes in the middle of the night, but he still did not delay getting up early every day and working with the villagers all day in the greenhouse.

It was this perseverance that impressed Xia Yihai, the secretary of the village branch who was not optimistic about the project at first. "You are really helping the poor." Secretary Xia said to him from the bottom of his heart.

"Poverty alleviation is all about hard work, hardship, and dedication." This is what Jiang Shengjian summed up in his poverty alleviation work. "Without these, even the best poverty alleviation projects will not be able to do it."

Over the years, Jiang Shengjian has been to many poor areas to carry out poverty alleviation work, remoteness, poor conditions, and inconvenience, which has never been his reason for being picky. On the contrary, when he is nearly a year old, the more he works, the more energetic he is. "I went to the countryside, and many places the conditions were really bitter. It is precisely because of suffering that we people need to spend a lot of energy to help them improve. ”

"Life is about the process of struggle. Nowadays, the development of rural areas is getting better and better. I was able to contribute a little, which made me feel very accomplished. When he said this, Jiang Shengjian had a smile on his face and a light in his eyes.
