The Diary of Beiliu is the content of volumes 3 and 4 of the Diary of Tanyuan, a famous dramatist of the Qing Dynasty, in the tanyuan diary. During the Tongzhi period, Yang Enshou's sixth brother Yang Tongshou (Zi Lusheng) was transferred from Yangshuo to Beiliuzhi County, and together he went to Beiliu to serve as a master for his brother, handling the matter of the criminal name Qiangu and also managing customs duties. During the about two years in Beiliu, he wrote the "Diary of Beiliu", which allows us to glimpse some things, people, places, and customs of Beiliu during the Qing Dynasty.
